Murderous Maids

I finally saw this amazing films about the notorious Papin Sisters.

It was awesome, and I am thinking about telling Blockbuster I lost it and need to pay for it; and would they happen to have the cover box lying around.

The lead actress Sylvie Testud gives a heart wrenching portrayal of a proud, intelligent, passionate woman forced into servitude by her, well...dirty whore of a mother. Her protective nature over her sisters and strong dislike for being treated like garbage form the basis of what will surely end in tragedy. You could say its the French's answer to Heavenly Creatures, as both films share a similar theme and have great looking gals falling in lust with eachother.

This movie will bring out the lesbian in you...unless you are [livejournal.com profile] madush69 : The Worlds Striaghtest Man.
(also, thanks for the gourmet goodies you brought over, Dan. You rule)

In other news, I can't seem to locate my VHS copy of To Die For. If I loaned it to you, do let me know as I'm going crazy trying to figure out where it could be. Or in the alternative, give it back!

Also, sorry I didn't get your call Annie. But I do plan to make the zoo trip if I am not already working.

You should check out "Sister My Sister," tis about the same case. :) (Interestingly enough, there was a mini-rush of movies about young lesbian murderesses at that time...HC, SMS, and Fun as well...)

What an odd trend.

Too bad the Wilson sisters from Heart never killed anyone...

Have you seen Chained for Life? About the conjoined sisters from the movie Freaks. Violet and Daisy...something.

*tries to visualize the Wilson sisters killing someone...* Hmmm... :) Nope, haven't seen Chained for Life, or Freaks for that matter...

CfL deals with conjoined twins. One of them does a murder and is sentenced to death. The film deals with the dilemma this causes...I don't know how it ends.

it's out of print.

;-(

like i need another lesbian movie to *bring out the lesbian in me* hehe. however i saw a version of this story (sister my sister) on cable one night. i was right with it until i realised the girls were sisters. something just doesn't sit right there, with me.

This film asserts that here was already incest in the family, with the father...so Christine was probably raised to beleive it was "okay". But I'm with you, it's a tad unsettling.

*nods*
but the actresses weren't sisters.... *tries to stretch her mind*
