Triplets of Belleville

This movie was amazing.

Incredible animation...so many cool styles.
Inventive, wonderful storytelling--and a great story as well.

Anyone know where I can find the lyrics?

Buy this movie if you get anywhere near it.

Then give it to me.

That would kick the ass.

How come you're so sweet all the time?

i'll burn it for you when i get home from work :-)

...and i'm so sweet all the time to blind people from all my other faults.
...like my horns and giant lizard tail... haven't noticed those yet... have you?

I love those old ladies, with their strange food and big hearts, and I love our mamma too. And I love that eventually she does return the boat.

It's one of the best movies I've seen in recent years. I'm really glad you got a chance to see it.

[identity profile] wednes.livejournal.com 2004-07-02 11:49 am (UTC)(link)
Indeed!

I was impressed with how it started out kinda cute and got progressively better as it went along.

Yay! I love it, too! It's so great and unique. Plus, the cyclist's calves are so huge... I'm not sure why that's a reason to like the movie... But whatever.

I noticed that too, i thought it was representative of the daring nature of the cartoonist(s). i loved how they mixed all the different animation styles.

And I maintain that it was better than Finding Nemo.

This movie was amazing

...And features a unique way of catching frogs, I'm sure you'll agree.

It just so happens that they have Bellville Rendezvous ( as its known in fortress Europa ) on sale on DVD in a shop near me for £10 ( which is bugger all over here ).

DVD also has the music video by M featuring the three sisters song.

Want ?

Goin' Frog-giggin'!!

And ah got me trusty WW2 german grenades. Ayup.

Heee! That was one of the best scenes, although I think that the sisters eating the frog-pops was a mite disturbing...

The lovely [livejournal.com profile] smarbaby is hooking me up with a copy!

Gracias!

I used to have asian red-belly frogs as pets. They were poisonous, so I could not eat them.

Drag.

Awesome movie

I made a trip out to the only theater in town where it was playing, on the last day of the 2 week run, to see Belleville. I hadn't heard of it til my friend Nick recommended it, and damn it was cool. I'm so glad I got to see it on the big screen. I loved how they were able to express so much with almost no dialogue. Great, great film. :)
