Happy BIRTHday Clarence and Pentelope!!!
I know many of you use some sort of IM thingy on your computers, I do to. But I never seem to want to sign on. i don't know why...it just seems very intrusive and kind of like a pesty child tapping you on the shoulder when you're trying to do something. I don't want to feel annoyed by friends, so I don't sign on. But then people complain and get sad because they never can talk to me. I got this in my email today from an old freind. It seems too slanted to be true, but you never know. It gets harder and harder to separate the ridiculous rumor from ridiculous reality anymore:

Today I'm going to return some videotapes (as fictional serial killer Patrick Bateman would say). Devil's Backbone was due today, so H and I watched it last night. I must say that it was pretty damn good. They call it the Spanish answer to Sixth Sense. Of course, it was directed by Guillermo Del Toro:

Goes to prove my theory that you can make a fabulous horror film for very little money. A good script/story, acting...all that stuff is free, or can be if your freinds have any talent. And good lighting. Good lighting can be quite expensive, but makes a huge difference in the overall look of your film. Obviously, I don't make films...but I watch a lot of them. Gee, I sound like I stayed in a Holiday Inn Express last night. Anyway, this makes me much more excited about HellBoy
The birthday of Clarence and Pentelope is soon. I hope to have a cool userpic of them, so I can be like every other LJ slag with a UP of thier cats. We're also going out to get them a new scratching post, so they will stop using the bed, couch etc. They are such swell cats, i'll have to pick a scratcher suitable to thier swellness.
