First Saturday of the New Year!

Hoorah for Saturday and double Hoorah for the new year. I wish it weren't so cold, I'd love to spend some time outside when I get home. Soooo in the mood for warm nights. So in the mood to sit outside smoking and enjoying the night.

When I did that word counting meme the other day, it said that the word I use most often is "I". Not sure I like that. In fact, I worry that it may make me appear self absorbed you know, to people who dont' already know. So for fun, methinks I'll try to use less of that particular work.

Right now my head has a hat on it. It's an ad for the Eternal Sunshine movie, which I'm wanting to see. Yet H and me decided (gramtically incorect, me knows, me knows) that Wednes wouldn't see another film until she saw Dawn of the Dead. Man...this is hard. Perhaps the point would be not to talk about myself so much. But I'm so damn interesting. Work, OTOH, has been damn boring. The hat is the highlite of my work day...
I've been trying again to learn Adobe Illustrator by reading a book. It seems that I'm really going to have to explore pratical applications on the computer...it appears damn difficult to me.

After work [livejournal.com profile] mad_ush69, [livejournal.com profile] psychswitch and me are going to cut the Madstone commercial before we go to [livejournal.com profile] pak_man78's birthday party. Luckily my voice is better than it has been in weeks. Although I imagine N's new toy will make short work of my throat and lungs...it always does!

So Happy New Year to all you pagan types who celebrate thusly.
And laughs to any Christians out there who think you guys made up all that stuff with the eggs and the grass and the bunnies. har har HAR de har har

Saw Dawn of the Dead today. Needed to after last night's The Passion of the Christ, or the Gospel According to Mel, however you want to look at it.

In the latter, the only stuff that interested me was the spiritual sparring between Christ and the Devil, a young Emperor Palpatine from the Star Wars series. Had the Devil whispered in the Romans' ears, I might have found the near constant violence less senseless.

But the former... Dawn of the Dead should have been a miniseries. There were enough characters that I found myself temporarily confused as to who was whom during the "getting to know you, getting to know the mall" montage. I could have easily sat there another thirty minutes while they fleshed things out between head shots. All in all: Good.

How did you get into the voice work?
