Movie Night: The Sequel

Have you seen this movie Cube? http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0123755/

I know its been out for awhile (1997). It's got the chick from the Dead Zone series in it, but she looks about 16. Overall the movie was suspenseful, innovative, fairly gory and had some cool surprises. But it didn't realy give any cool information about itself, despite having a totally bizarre premise. Worth a watch, but don't expect any explainations.

I was also going to watch Microcosmos, but I'm pretty tired. Tomorrow i have to go shopping to get stuff to make my famous mexican dip for the birthday party of [livejournal.com profile] pak_man78. And of course on thursday I have the night off for this fabulous event:

Early reports on Dawn of the Dead have been favorable.
I still don't know when I'll be able to go.
I'm starting to tire of working every single weekend...
But I imagine we'll hit a Monday Matinee.

Also, i joined a stalker community. (Those people seem a little nutty.)

I love Cube! Especially since it leaves so much unanswered. It leaves you to come up with the answers. SciFi Channel did a godawful sequel that actually gave explanations and they sucked majorly.

Would that be hypercube?

What were the explanations?
I guess that it was some kind of Alien experiment.

it was a vague government/military conspiracy for Hypercube. The movie was so bad... the traps in that one didn't even foloow a pattern, they just sprung whenever the movies needed it.

That's too bad. The number thing was damn cool.

I still haven't seen Cube (I want to, though), but I did see the sequel on the scifi channel late one night. :) "Cube 2: Hypercube". Had me very engrossed, let me tell ya! I hear the original is even better (although the sequel had spiffy visual fx)...

Defintely check it out. it was damn good for being so inexpensive.

I used to have a reacurring dream where I would be in a maze, except the maze was always inside a school.

It's hard to stalk long distance...but we could give it a try.
