Arrrrgh!

Little did I know that we had yet another show of PotC sold out to underage Christians. I'm still baffled by that, and they came late and got all pissy with me when I said we could only hold the film for five minutes. Then they got further pissy because I said they couldn't get refunds for tix purchased at a group rate...so they stodd at the Box Office waiting for people to ask for tickets so they could try and sell theirs. It was supreme bullshit...and lots of them were dressed all slutty and gross.

Okay, now a bunch more Christians are here 45 mintues early for the next show.
Good Heavens!

Anyway, what else I wanted to say was that after work I get to cut another ad for WAAM radio. Me and [livejournal.com profile] shakeshookshock are being a married couple. the ad was written by [livejournal.com profile] madush69 so you jknow it's gonna be hilarious!

when I was at Jersey Girl last night I overheard these teens talking about PotC and one girl finds out that it's all in subtitles and she blurts out "You mean I have to read through the WHOLE movie?! Fuck that!"

I wanted to smack her.

a little reading won't kill someone.

Well, that's where you're wrong. I'm sure Jesus himself would've screamed "Fuck That" after hearing he had to do anything he found remotely distasteful.

or maybe not...

The hilarity will all be in the delivery. That's why I've enlisted the two of you.

As I said in the studio, I beleive we had our "A" game in effect. We rocked that promo man! I'm so excited to hear it.

THey wanted refunds because you wouldn't let underage ppl in? Is there a rule that they can come in wiht a parent or something? Actually, howcome that didn't occur to someone that THEY WERE UNDERAGE? (Like their parents).

I'm asking b/c here in town, ppl brought their BABIES. Yes, people brought babies in baby carriers and read their bibles until the lights went down. That's what I heard anyway. I'm seeing it this weekend.

On the other hand, I'd let an underage person watch SOME rated r movies (as a parent) if the violence is necessary. I hear this is WAY violent tho... it'd have to depend I guess.

In fact, they wanted refunds for tickets they reserved but later didn't need. But the tickets were bought at a group rate based on a certain number of people. so returning tickets nullifies the group rate.

There were I think 2 adults with this group of young people. And yes, MANY people are bringing young children to this film, and it is totally inappropriate.

You get awesome people at your theater. Those people make life worth living.

Well yes, the opportunities for mockery are many and varied, that's for sure. But sometimes I just want an easy day, with a seemingly finite number of flaming jerk-offs.

But that's more than I should hope for I guess...

Also, did you hear about the zombies?

That's pretty cool.
