Something funny:

Had you been at Ann Arbor Madstone five minutes ago, you would have heard:

Me: "I'm just mad that they put in subtitles...like anyone would need them." Mockingly "Oh, they're putting thorns on his head...I wonder what's going on?"

Co-worker: "Yeah well, not everyone knows about Pontius Pilate and stuff."

Me: "Well, once David Bowie plays someone, everyone should know about them!"

Co-worker: *laughs*

Okay, that's not really all that funny. But I just found out I get to see Passions of the Christ tomorrow night after close. That will be good, even though I will no doubt be exhausted by then. No matter, I can sleep thru Sunday yet again as becomes my habit. Unless the movie gives me nightmares from all that blood and subtitling. Plus you know, until Signs came out, I had never seen a Mel Gibson joint all the way thru. I know he doesn't appear, but still...

I overheard our marketing chick today talking about how she's hiring someone to do research for her. I have to say "WTF?!?" because she doesn't really use the research I give her. And with all the complaining people do about the marketing budget, it seems dumb as hell to pay someone to research things online when any semi-literate moron could do for themselves. So that is discouraging.
Plus its another in a long line of dumbass suggestions like I shouldn't be allowed to post reveiws for films that haven't opened yet, I should cover up my tattoos for the opening of PotC, and not proofreading mailers is a good idea because it saves time.

Shout out to [livejournal.com profile] noverflow celebrating a birthday today. And another, even louder SHOUT OUT to [livejournal.com profile] quixoticdancer who is safely out of surgery and home resting and eating ice cream where she belongs. Not to say that chicks belong in the home eating ice cream, but in this situation, it's Right On!

And now, to find something for dinner.

Edit: I had a Strawberry Orange Salad from Aloha grille

So there ARE subtitles. I knew it!

I would have sworn I told you this a week ago, when I found out. The trailer I downloaded had no ST's, but the new ones do.

Blast!

Awww, you shouted out to me. That's so sweet. Thanks!

No, actually, that was funny.

Here's some amusement for ya.
I was stuck in the car with my jewish father in law for 27 minutes yesterday.
The entire ride he was bitching about how Mel Gibson and his father are notorious anti-semites. I did not know that. Needless to say, I was a wee bit uncomfortable. By the time we got close to South Street I was clawing at the windows.

Actually, your pater-in-law may be onto something.
