Superguys, Jung and Boss Love

I was watching Burton's Batman last night with H, and we got to talking about Superguys and thier alter egos. The differences are interesting. I'm sure C.G. Jung would have a field day with these guys!

Like Superman is really Kal-els true self, and Clark Kent is this made up wimpy guy. Clark and Supe do have some things in common: they both like Lois, they both are very moral. But if they were two separate people, they'd be freakishly co-dependent and trapped in one of those hideous overfunctioner/underfunctioner things. I mean, Lios fell in love with Supe, while dissing Kent all along, why? Well, supe embodies everything women love about men. Or does he simply appeal to our desire to be taken care of, rescued, and get our cats promptly removed from trees? Superman wouldn't really make a good boyfriend.

Whereas Bruce Wayne is already split into the millionaire playboy persona and the concerned philanthropist of whatever you want to call him...then there is the elusive Batman. But its much more difficult to discern who is the more authentic self. Bruce Wayne would make a great casual boyfriend, but to get serious, you'd have to learn to love The Bat. And The Bat would have to learn to express himself thru talking, which I'm not sure he can.

I just find the contrast interesting, because we all have out varied personae to some degree. The way I "act" around customers or clients is different than the way I am at home or with co-workers alone. You know...Discuss.

I was just on AIM and [livejournal.com profile] boblovesdot hipped me to this other journal, of a woman committing a hideous sin. That's right, she's having an affair with her BOSS!?!?

Perhaps I will test the waters and see if there is a need for a community of sad, ridiculous women who love thier bosses. Or maybe some men have boss related crushes...I really wouldn't know anything about that. Except once when I worked at McDonalds and some kid had a crush on me.

More good news, we are finally getting Monster @ Madstone. So my Thursday night date with Mr Sandler and Ms Barrymore et al will have to wait for another time.

did you ever work at Pizza Place?
I think they slip love potions in Pizza, that's why so many of us love it. It also seems almost every other individual that has ever worked the pie land states hormones flew. I tried my best to hide from it all under that dorky hat, but I still ended up with love notes in(side) my car.

Yet down the road the ones I befriended there were true friends, and rescued me by delivering (beer) in Pizza coverings to my dorm room in those treacherous dorm room days...What memories...

Everybody is like that. I am a totally different person at work than out. The rest was too long for a comment. I posted it in my journal.
