Hello? City Wok...

Gods, this work day is endless!

The trailer for the Spongebob Squarepants movie is quite cool looking.
I think I will see it, you know...if I live that long.

It's really cold in here.

We had food from some divey chinese place reccomended by [livejournal.com profile] madush69. It was adequate, and I did not have to pay for it. Happily, my Xmas bonus consisted of broccali, chicken and fried rice.

More happily, HHB did not stay very long today...just thru the first set. It's sad to think of him here and not having anything cool to do on the holiday.
Of course, my plan is to go home and have linguine with chili on it with H. That's not super cool, but its pretty cool that someone is at home waiting for me to get there. I think he wants to watch the Dracula DVD I got him for Xmas. I don't know if I'll feel like it. I've already seen Keanu Reeves in like, 3 movies this year. That is more than enough, methinks.

Ewww...I just remembered I have to walk that dang dog in the cold. Dogs don't seem to notice when it is rainy, cold or slippery. They should develop the good sense to stay inside like cats. I've been looking for cat houses online. Well, not CAThouses mind you, but little houses for cats to scratch up and hide in and stuff. Anyone know where is a good place to find reasonably priced cat stuff? My roomate is helping me pay for it in exchange for the terrible cold I'm going to get walking the dog in my pajamas.
(dress warmly to walk the dog you say? What, pray, would I complain about then???)

Dogs love the cold, your feelings on the matter are irrelevant, dogs just love rolling and messing in the cold. It is fun, fun, fun! Hope your holiday has picked up and you don't have to work too hard.

Thanks! i'm home from work finally...truth be told I wasn't working all that hard. I'd rather work so the time will fly by. anywhoo...this dog really does love froliking in the snow. It'd be funny to watch if it weren't so cold.

Nolan thanks you for your pains.

leaving ice cube in front of my chair to melt=thanks.

glad you know all these dog language thingys.

Seriously though, she is a joy.
She just barks an awful lot.

[identity profile] uterdic.livejournal.com 2003-12-25 09:22 pm (UTC)(link)
Usually, only when she hears someone outside the door. If she's barking in general (she doesn't do this when I'm at home, so I don' know what causes it), and you are in your room or something, she'll generally stop if you say something like, "Nolan, stop that." Like when she doesn't move while she's blocking you from coming out of the kitchen. You say, "Move Dog." She doesn't know what that means. Start with her name, and she usually acts better.

Maybe that'll help out a bit. If not now, maybe in the future.

We should change her name to "dog".

Howcome I don't remember seeing Nolan when I was up there last? Will I get to meet her?

[identity profile] wednes.livejournal.com 2003-12-25 10:47 pm (UTC)(link)
I cna't beleive you didn't see Nolan, I think you pettted her for a long time.

Now I feel bad! I remember meeting her now! I think it slipped my memory for a minute. Told you my brain's been fried.

I love Nolan.

and King Shing is not divey. They're very nice, clean, and their food tastes good.

It was okay.
The chicken left something to be desired, and they forgot the crab rangoon.

I LOVE crab rangoon.

First, good taste in music, there :)

My folks got my husband the same Dracula DVD. He loves the movie, but I've always found it too funny. The way so many of the transitions are circle-shaped zooms drove me nuts, and I always found it hilarious how any woman who was about to get attacked would start doing heavy breathing like she was listening to a sex phone call or something. A friend of mine and I (while drunk one night) came up with our own little rhyme about THAT aspect of the move: "Heave! Heave! Pant! Pant! Let's all do the Vampire Chant!" (remember, really really drunk!)

I'm hoping he'll watch it when I'm asleep or something, otherwise I'll be giggling the whole way throug....

[identity profile] wednes.livejournal.com 2003-12-26 05:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Ha, that's very true.

I've always found the horrific mis-casting of Keanu Reeves to be the funniest.
