Dammit you guys!
I, one of the greatest TV addicts of all time, am refusing to turn on my television to protest the shamless and disgusting hype surrounding a tragedy. I wasn't going to talk about it here, but now I'm annoyed.
I come here, and everyone is still talking about it. What's the fucking point? To remind us of how shocking and sad it all was? To make sure we are still sad even though for many of us, a year was plenty of time to reflect? Or to cause all those hypcritical assholes to hang cheap, tattered plastic flags on (of all things) thier cars radio antennae? I've got news for you, buying tiny flags and flag stickers does not make you a good american!
If you want to honor someone, or do something to show your outrage, why don't you get off your asses and help someone, send a donation of money or goods. But don't you dare hang out a little flag and tell people "how much you care" if you aren't doing shit to help anyone else. Helping others is a good way to show your pride, you know.
So if you dont' walk the walk, instead of waving around your plastic flag, why not sit home and watch all the replays and recaps so you can talk about your "outrage" all over again.
