Good News...Bad News.

My sources tell me that Lion's Gate Films has bought the rights to distribute Rob Zombie's House of 1,000 Corpses. About fucking time? Well yes, of course.

They will release the R rated version in theatre's in the US, and the real version in countries that arent' afraid of penises on film. We will also get the uncut version on DVD and VHS...eventually.

The bad news is that we may well have to wait another year to see it. I am told by a gal at horrormoviefans that it will not be relased until Oct of 2003.

They must know its the only thing keeping me alive...

Dude, how "horrifying" is this movie that they haven't been able to find distribution for it? I mean, it's got a guaranteed audience, they're sure to recoup some profit on it.

**forgive the "dude", it's a bad habit**

Actually that's the point. When Universal dropped it they claimed it was due to a "visceral intensity that we had not envisioned in the original script.". It was too scary, disturbing, and gory to get an R rating... "Too Scary!"

"Dude" is totally fine. just don't go all crazy with Ebonics on me...or I may have to "bust" a "cap" in your "dome".
