Moon landing? Not just for Loonies...

Like most people, I am pretty fascinated by the Moon and the things it affects: The tides, majickal energies of all sorts, menstrual cycles, and some say the human psyche. It's mentioned in everything from love songs to serial killer bio's.

And some people think humans landed there in 1969 (or is it 8 ? Now I forget). I'm not so sure I beleive that. How about you guys?

Any thoughts?

Yes, I believe it was the rapper Ice-T who first uncovered this. He also believes that DNA is ALL OVER OUR SKIN!!!!!

Ice-T is pretty cool. I love watching him on L&O SVU.

You might want to check out snopes.com or http://urbanlegends.about.com. I think one or both of them have some great info to debunk these rumours

The whole "Moon Hoax" business reminds me of the unsurfacing of the Alien Autopsy video. First everyone was rushing to say it was real, then everyone was rushing to debunk it.

Maybe I am just so jaded that even with decent evidence, I don't think we are smart enough to have landed on the moon. Not the US anyway. I'm sure the Japanese could do it, hell, they probably have tea rooms and sushi bars there and we don't even know.

Mmmmm...Sushi.

Oh for pity's sake.

Of course the "we never went to the moon" is a load of crap, perpetrated by the same dweebs who want to believe humans aren't smart enough to erect standing circles of stones or pyramids either, and the same people who don't even have a rudimentary grasp of science. I'm *glad* people rush to debunk it...it's not like it's hard. One of my fave sites...Bad Astronomy...debunks more than that stuff all the time. There are people who still believe the Earth is flat, too, or hollow.

Of course we're smart enough to have made it to the moon. What we are *not* smart enough to have done is create a hoax that huge and then keep it quiet for 30+ years. I don't believe in government conspiracies not because I believe humans are good, but because I don't think our politicians are smart enough to pull it off or capable of keeping their mouths shut if they did. ;-)
