Why today sucks less than yesterday:

Got up around noon-thirty to go to a meeting with this counselor guy who is helping me get some stuff settled. That went well, I'm trying to get new glasses too, which I totally need.

H and I made fliers for the theatre, which my Hot Hot Boss really liked. Except I called him on his cell phone and not on the theatre line. Oops.
Later on I can do my halloween budget.

The water in my bedroom is not as bad as I had feared. I'm calling maintenance tomorrow to see what they can do. Maybe a dehumidifier will do the trick?

I got a new dugout knock-off that is pretty nice. They make 'em with twist tops now, which is okay I guess. I put some burn marks on it and may sand it down. Talked to a cabbie whose cab reeked of insense. He's going to ask around about my dugout, even if I get it back empty, I'd be glad.

H is such a good guy, I think I'm going to make a userpic of him.

Whats with the water in your bedroom? Is it like standing water from a leak or is it condensation?

We are in a basement apartment, so i think it's seeping up thru the floor. there has been a lot of rain this year.

Could also be the shower upstairs? I ask because I deal with this kind of stuff all the time at work.

It's definately coming up thru the floor, it was under a big pile of clothes that were dry on top.

I don't know how they could fix it without tearing up my bedroom floor.

So you are on the very bottom, is there a crawl space or anything? Is the whole floor wet or just that one area?

Even lots of rain should not come up through your floor. Maybe underneath a door or something from around the windows but from the ground is uncommon. At least in my experience.
