Piano Bar

have any of you ever been to a piano bar? i'm supposed to go to one tomorrow night with a chick i used to work with, and I've never been. Is it like, poor man's Carrie Okee or what?

I have to wash my clothes with vinegar today in an effort to prevent my cats from peeing on them. Yuck!

Unpacking is not very fun. I thought it would be fun.

Watched Fresh last night with ryan. That movie is so dman good!

unpacking is most definitely not fun. just keep thinking about how much better everything will look once you get all the boxes out of the way... that's what keeps me going :-)

...and i have no idea what a piano bar is.

A piano bar is a bar... with a piano. It's usually much quieter than a sports bar, and better for conversation. The kind of place you would drink martinis.

[identity profile] wednes.livejournal.com 2003-08-05 02:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, I wouldn't drink matini's in any place. But I spose i could order my Jaegermeister in one of those funny triangle glasses...

It's actually a cone. The purpos of the glass is to show off the drink. Be careful, they spill easily.

She knew that. If ya draw the silhouette of one it is a triangle.

[identity profile] nate101000.livejournal.com 2003-08-06 07:31 am (UTC)(link)
I didn't realize that the two of you were telepathically connected.

The silhouette does not describe the shape. If you look at the silhouette from the top it is a circle. Would you describe an ordinary glass as square or circular? It depends on your point of view. The proper description would be cylindrical.

My dad loves Martini's for some reasons. I like Manhattans. Ask P. He'll verify that

And you hang out with Davy, who's still in the Navy. And Paul the Real Estate Novelist. And old men doing nasty things with tonic and gin. And Billy Joel is there, playing piano and hitting on chicks. And pretty soon, you're all in the mood for a melody, and feeling alright. Uh huh.

[identity profile] wednes.livejournal.com 2003-08-05 02:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, that's about what I might have expected.

Who are you, BTW?

[identity profile] wednes.livejournal.com 2003-08-05 06:38 pm (UTC)(link)
You know that genius Monkey, don't you?

Except maybe those damn stringy, swingin' Gibbons

[identity profile] oxfordel.livejournal.com 2003-08-05 06:45 pm (UTC)(link)
I consider myself a friend, nay a soulmate, to primates of all denominations.

And sea captains. Definitely sea captains.

OK. You caught me. I love everyone.

Well, I friended you. Enjoy the madness!

piano bars are NOT for poor people.
I repeat...definitely NOT for the poor.

[identity profile] wednes.livejournal.com 2003-08-05 02:34 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm told it is $1.50 well drink night.

But I'll probably be super high when I get there.

Never been to one but I've always pictured it just like the one described in Piano Man.

Even though I have no idea if that's even a piano bar he is singing about.

[identity profile] wednes.livejournal.com 2003-08-05 02:35 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, me too.

I'll soon find out.

Hey, just wanted to give you a little tip-if you are interested, that MAY help with the kitty/pee problem: Put some catnip in the litter box! ;)

[identity profile] wednes.livejournal.com 2003-08-05 10:55 pm (UTC)(link)
Ho ho!

That is a good one. i will give that a whirl.

I do find that drugs are the answer for most all of MY problems, it stands to reason it would be the case for my cats as well*.

*not as sarcastic as it may sound, I'm trying it tomorrow!

Drugs are the solution to the worlds problems. Just ask all those parents with kids. We may soon get to the point where over %50 of children are medicated. So why not the adults too?
