Frownie Face!
Saturday is my most longest day...where I work my crappy double shift. No air conditioning, no Hot Hot Boss, no partner to work with until 5:30. I already ran out of tickets, and I didn't have time to eat my breakfast. I'll have to munch on a granola bar in a little while...those blueberry yogurt ones are good.
Why do so many people want to see Legally Blonde 2? I mean honestly...what in the world would make you watch that trailer and say "Hmm...that looks really good?" Now to be fair, I haven't seen it. But I don't feel I have to sit thru it to know how badly it sucks. I will stand by and defend my negative opinion of it, sight unseen. Further, I will continue to mock those who willingly spend thier money on this type of shit, because they are perpetuating the myriad of horrible films made by apathetic filmakers for brain-dead audiences.
I hate them all so much...
Plus I got stood up last night. I won't mention any names but I had no one to do fireworks with, no one to be festive with, no one to smoke the pot with, no one to watch Twilight Zone with. It was a minor tragedy...

don't let the move theatre kill your spirit!
it was fucking funny!! I kind of want see the new one actually.
... I'm not worrying so much about Hollywood lately. Actually I think there are quite a number of wonderful indie films being made these days. I try to keep up with seeing them but their numbers keep growing exponentially... especially since it is so easy to do now with digital equipment.
I think Hollywood has caught on to the popularity of these art films too... I mean just look at stuff like Frida or Adaptation... or The Hours... I mean these are just three examples & there have been so many more lately it seems.
Of course still, like candy we must have our guilty pleasures... like comic book movies... or Legally Blonde II... or Old School... but that isn't so bad is it?
Come on Wednes... embrace the cheese... embrace the cheese.
It must be really fucking annoying working there though & I can understand why you'd be so pissed about it all. *hugs*
Re: don't let the move theatre kill your spirit!
I did think Old School was pretty funny, but I will probably never see any of those silly chick movies.
I'd rather re-watch something substantive.
