If I may...
Beginning May 1st, Madstone presents Film Forward - six weeks of unreleased, oddball, and original films.
Making a film is hard. Getting it out there is even harder. That's why there's Film Forward, a showcase of undiscovered cinema.
Because Madstone believes that every story has an audience, we've created a film series exclusively for those films and filmmakers that have been gridlocked by the distribution game. Festival favorites and darlings on the indie scene, these 6 films represent the diverse spirit of filmmaking and offer people like you a glimpse at what's beyond the local megaplex.
Film Forward brings you films where tension is wrought entirely through sound, with characters so vivid, they pop, and with narratives so odd they make you wonder, "who thought of that?" Explore undiscovered cinema, and leave the theater not asking "did you like it?"… but instead, asking "what did you think?"
Soft for Digging: Directed by JT Petty
Bunny: Directed by Mia Trachinger
Tattoo, A Love Story: Directed by Richard W. Bean
Te Amo (Made in Chile): Directed by Sergio Castilla
Side Streets: Directed by Tony Gerber
Seven and a Match: Directed by Derek Simonds
I mention this series not just because I work there but because I screened several of these films and they are damn interesting.
