I figured I'd get envy, since a good freind was just telling me about the new house his parents are buying him; and all I could think about was my own crappy dwelling and maniacal family that I fled in shame and terror. So, why can't I be happy for my freind?

I'm a terrible, terrible person, that's why!

Yeah, but put it in perspective. Wanting the dream scenario your friend has is normal kind of envy. (I have friends like that too).

Wanting a cloud of locusts to descend upon his/her housewarming party and start picking off guests might be terrible envy.

Mine would be a toss up between Envy and Sloth. Like the fact that the gym is right next door to my work, I have gym clothes in my locker, and I still can't get my ass over there for 30 minutes. (snort)
