I enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would, story-wise (just as it's not my usual reading fare). Clever/witty writing (I expected that, from you), engaging plot, lots of surprises and suspense, gets emotions going... all that jazz. ;)

Sometimes I had to re-read bits to make sure I was following correctly (I think that was done on purpose, though, as "seen" through the main character and her illness and coping mechanisms). I liked the various bits of insight throughout the book that made the character seem "saner" than everyone around her. The only bit I felt went a bit too far in that regard (as much as I personally agreed with all of it and was like YEAH! in my head) were the musings on Christianity. It almost seemed to get too... passionate/in-depth/detailed for the character, which didn't quite fit, based on her other nuggets of observation flatly laid out throughout the rest of the book on other subjects.

All in all, really impressive work! I will definitely read more of your stuff. I passed Sadie on to a friend of mine that I think will enjoy it, too.
