Fine, remake it...see if I care:

Alright, I am caving on the issue surrounding the remake of one my my fave 70's movies: Willard. For those of you who don't know, I have a great love of films where people off thier mothers. Call me crazy...

Having seen the trailer, and Crispin Glover as Willard, I am pretty fucking stoked to see it. Between this and House of 1,000 Corpses, this looks like another good year for horror (as soon as we collectively agree to forget FD2 and DF).

As for me, I'm feeling really out of it, kind of like I'm in one of those machines with the crane. Everything is loud and makes me nervous and keeps trying to pick me up by my head. So I'm cutting back on work hours until I feel better.

Yeah, loud sucks.

ahhh yes.....this is willard, these are willards friends, ben, socrates....where your nightmares end, willard begins! rated R.

anyway, i think i read something in rue morgue magazine a while ago about the willard remake, i think thats one of those movies that might be alright remade because its not very well known and it was kind of mundane to begin with, i think it can only get better. the only thing i liked about that movie was the trailer. they should also remake night of the lepus and the car.

just my 2 cents

Crispin Glover does look kick ass in this movie, don't he?

Interesting choice for Willard. I had no idea this movie was being made, and I'm usually on top of stuff like this.

I think Crispin's tour de force was Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter where he takes a cleaver in the face. The drama! The empathy!

Yeah, that's some good stuff.

I loved him as Andy Warhol in The Doors.

Someone, i think TNT is doing a remake of Salem's Lot, which i hope is better than that craptacular version of The Shinning with the wings guy...

He really does. And he is the only reason I am bothering to take any interst at all. Bruce Davison has been Willard to me my whole life...I'm so resistive to change.

Night of the Lepus would not scare my cat, although there are a few ways to tweak it for modern audiences.

Willard scared me to death as a kid, mostly because I identified with Willard and he died so badly at the end. Maybe Crispin will get to live...

I'd like to see a new version of one of those giant rat movies.
