I'm beginning to understand how people can devote so much of their lives to gaming. Left 4 Dead is pretty horrifying and exciting, even if I'm not very good at first person shooters just yet. I keep forgetting to walk and look at the same time, the look part is especially difficult. But I'm slowly getting the hang of it. H is helping me a lot. I imagine he's pretty shocked that I'm playing shooter games in the first place.

I've been checking out other games I might want. I'm sort of curious to see what Tetris is like in the Xbox360 since they have it. I also want the singing game (called Lips) and Scene It. Those would be awesome for parties.

Probably I should get a gaming icon, for when I post about the Xbox and the Wii. I know, right? I'm a super gamer.

Anybody wanna be Xbox buddies?

I recommend Metacritic for game reviews.. you get a good cross section sort of like Rotten Tomatoes

Lips is rated higher than the American Idol game, but the AI game has fewer reviews. I might still recommend Rock Band 2 and the Microphone. It gives you the ability to upgrade over time. You could play now doing the vocals and add a guitar later or something. And you could be in a band over live and do vocals and not even need the other instruments. Of course I could go on about the xbox for hours and hours, blah blah. :)

I've been looking over the singing games to see which one is best for me. Lips has where you can download songs from Live, plus it has a bunch of songs I would love to sing.

I don't just want to sing, I want to sing against my friends.

One thing that an Xbox 360 is GREAT for but that few people actually do is playing AVI files. I fill a USB thumb drive with a movie or DL'd TV shows and plug it into the box and lo, I am Entertained.

(And I know just what AVI you'll want to start with.)

Neat. I actually translate avi files for my iPod, but it'd be nice to watch them big.
