My copies of The Cat's Apprentice came today. It appears that none of the italics made it into the book. They are all gone for some reason, so I'm terrified to think what that will do for people actually reading the book. I feel bad about it, because it's certainly something I should have noticed on the galley. So Boo and Hiss for that.

Other than that though, it's a very pretty book with a beautiful cover. The story is much better than I originally gave it credit for. Even though it asks a bit more of the reader, it's a good book and worth picking up, I think. And if you're one of those rare peeps who didn't like Sadie, you will likely find this book more to your liking. If not, I give up. My chick lit book, Which Hazel, will likely never see the light of day.

Oh, and this book has reviews for the last book on the back. madush69 is there, as is maxverbosity. So that's kinda neat. There is a pic of my deceased cat, Clarence, on the back, but there is no pic of me. The credit for the photo says "author photograph by Hollingsworth Webster" because H took the photo. So it sounds like Clarence actually wrote the book--which is fine by me.

Watched the Sex in the City movie today. I have to say, I didn't care for it. I thought Carrie never should have forgiven Big for that crapfest at their wedding. That shit was ridiculous and unforgivable. I didn't care for Miranda being a selfish bitch for most of the movie, and I didn't like Samantha breaking up with Smith either. Usually the one who irritates me, Charlotte was the only one of the four who didn't piss me off, though I could have done without the bowel movement. So yeah, fuck Big. He doesn't deserve her. And blaming herself for him standing her up at her wedding?!? C'mon. Although I did enjoy the other men in this one. Harry is a great guy, and Steve is a good guy in essence.

JoJo has almost chewed off the strap that holds the lid on my water bottle. It's the water bottle H bought me from ABC that has LOST on it. The lid has a compass in case I'm ever on an island and lost. And Pentelope peed on the bathroom floor...right on the tile. It's ridiculous. I don't know what to do with her. She's been to the vet, they can't find anything wrong with her.

That's a shame about the italics. I know how things like that can make a difference to a story. Wow, two books published already! Amazing.
