Home Alone (not the movie, the actual act of being at home with no one else here)
Friday night and I literally have nothing to do. Well, I could clean my horrific looking kitchen and change the cat box, but I'll probably put that off until tomorrow. Maybe not though...
I spent the day looking for new online markets to pitch. If you know of anyone who might want to review my book, speak up. So far, 3 different online magazines have agreed to review. I'm also going to pitch some big boys, like New York Times and Entertainment Weekly. I don't have high hopes for getting reviews by them but at least I can say I went for it.
Speaking of reviews, The Ruins is terrible by all counts. That's too bad, it looked pretty scary and I hear the book is excellent. So I guess H and I will not be going to the movies this week, since there's nothing out we really want to see. That is a damn shame in my opinion. But maybe we can use that money to buy a copy of The Mist which was awesome and which I do not own yet.
This weeks Friday Five is a good one, so here it is:
1. If you became ruler of the world, what three things would you do first?
1. Stop all wars and punish those responsible for continued violence. Open communications with all warring nations.
2. Global Health Care, funding more people to study medicine so there are enough docs to go around.
This includes dealing with phramaceutical companies to make meds affordable.
3. Basic rights (voting, marriage, religious freedom, privacy etc) for all peoples.

I'd have the power to use words to evoke physical changes, like punching people verbally. My name would be "Mama Sass"
3. You can ask one question to someone who knows EVERYTHING. What is it?
Who was the Oakland County Child Killer? Where is he now?
(Yeah, I should say he or she but seriously, c'mon.)
4. If you were invisible for a day, what would you do?
Visit my brother Mark and see if he's okay.
5. If you saw a mythical/religious deity walking down the street, what would you do?
Nudge my buddy next to me, pointing them out. I'd like to think I'd smile and say hello.
