Happy Haunting, Again!

There's a meme going around where you post a YouTube of the intro to your favorite show as a kid. I couldn't find just the intro to MY favorite show, so I had to settle for the not very factual "tribute" to my horror hosting hero, Sir Graves Ghastly. This whole thing isn't that good, but the intro is in there, and it's killer.

H found my hat, scarf, and slick fold-over gloves from last year. Just in time for spring, right? They were in a plastic bag in the closet, to keep them fresh. Maybe I'll put them in the coat closet, it least I might think to look there next winter.

I got invited to interview at a place I sent a resume to. Turns out, the job is too far away, still it's nice to be asked. I might not have to sell violins forever. It's a decent gig that pays fairly well, I'm just not very good at it. And I know almost nothing about violins. I applied at another place today, because I'm feeling both confident and sick of my job.

I wanted to post a YouTube of a Ralph Phillips Cartoon, but I can't find one. So here's another Wednes fave:

Both of those videos bring back fond memories. While I was not as big of a fan of Sir Graves, I though he was very cool. :)

Cool. Yeah, I always loved Sir Graves, he's even mentioned in my book. Apparently Sadie loved him too.

And Duck Amok is always good for a few laughs.

Southwest Michigan never had a local movie hosts, so I've always come to the concept of the local horror movie host/hostes as an outsider to other people's nostalgia. But that cartoon was always one of my favorites. Especially Daffy as a floral quadruped.

*nods* Too bad about not having your own zany TV host. But then, you're not a big TV guy, so that probably doesn't bother you as much as it would me.

Speaking of your book, when do the preorders arrive?

[identity profile] wednes.livejournal.com 2008-03-27 04:29 pm (UTC)(link)
Around April 25th, the books will be sent to me for signing, then I'll send them out to all of you's.

So in about a month, maybe a little longer. Only about 20 people have pre-ordered, so it shouldn't take me that long to send them all out.
