It's official.

I am on the job market, once again.

It's not that I hate my job, I'm just not very good at it. The paperwork is confusing, the hours are erratic, and my product knowledge is still fairly laughable. I haven't quit or anything, but I have begun the search for yet another new job.

Hoping for something clerical or receptionist-y or something that's the same as I do now, just with a product that I know something about. Hell, I'd even go back to retail if I didn't have to be on my feet for 8 straight hours.

So if anybody hears anything that might be appropriate, do let me know!
Preferably something on the #5 bus route. ;-}

In other news, A Daily Show and Colbert were pretty funny last night. Not sure why they both ran over though, what's up with that? I wonder what they're going to do now, since they've already covered the writers strike.

Bionic Woman got canceled. H is bummed.
Too much reality TV is a total drag. Also, I don't think I like Law & Order anymore. I was watching a new ep last week, and it was boring, not entertaining. I think they should just stop.

Well, Stephen Colbert is certainly better without the writers than Jon. I found A Daily Show uncomfortable to watch. I tend to dislike his interviews, and since that seems to comprise the bulk of the show I wasn't really liking it. I respect Jon immensely though and he is very smart as his appearances on other shows indicate. I just don't know how long I want to keep watching him stumble around the discomfort I know he's feeling even being on. At least Colbert can retreat into his characters preposterous distain for all things Liberal.

That's very true. Jon looked decidedly uncomfortable, and I'm not sure what he's going to do tomorrow--but you can bet I'll be watching.

I guess they are having trouble finding people to come on, too. Maybe they'll let me hype my book if the writers are still striking in April. :-]

They cancelled Bionic Woman? No fair! I finally started watching it (from my DVR) during the strike and decided that I really liked it! (The same happened with Life.) Feh!

Good luck with the job hunt.

Yeah, H liked it too. I used to record it for him because he worked that night. Now we'll never know the whole deal with Sarah Corvis. :-[

Thanks!

Good luck finding a new job! I thought this one was good though... don't you sell violins? Seems like that would be sorta an interesting thing to be involved with.

Do you have any desire to sell insurance? My bro works for Farmer's insurance and perhaps he could put in a good word? Also, State Farm seems to always be hiring. It seems like a good deal with paid training. I'm thinking about doing that myself. See if there's a state farm location in Ann Arbor. I bet you'd make a ton of money doing that.

The first boy I ever really fell in love with, he videotaped obsessively. So floating around, perhaps in his knapsack or whatever, are 'reality' tapes of me being a total dumbass burnout stoner. Maybe it's because I write in 'script' format these days, but improv makes *everyone* look like a retard.

It is interesting, it's just that I don't really know anything about violins...or strings...or tail peices or humidifiers or any of the other stuff that goes along with the instruments. Plus the job itself is kind of hard, I forget stuff all the time and you can't really go back and fix it.

Anyway, I'm pretty sure insurance salesmen have to drive, which I do not. Thanks for the well wishes though. I'm sure I'll find something.

Yeah, it really does. ;-]

You're being presented with an excellent opportunity to throw your television out with the trash! Don't miss it! You will never regret it. I still feel just a little sorry for H though.

Violins are super cool but not liking work is not so I have to offer you my best wishes on your search for something better. Go!

TV is my good pal. It and I shall never part, though we do spend less quality time together than we used to.

Thanks for the well wishes!

I know...I just like to tease since I'm on the other side of the fence.

What if you caught it talkin' trash about you to the DVD player? Then?
