Xmas movies already!!

We watched 1408 over the course of 2 days because our power went out. We were going to watch Bionic Woman together, now I don't even know if last night was a new episode or not. Anybody know?

Anyway, 1408 was pretty decent. John Cusack stars as a ghost writer who doesn't believe in ghosts. So he goes to the Stanley Dolphin hotel (run by Samuel L Jackson) that happens to be swarming with ghosts that all confine themselves to just one room. It's a clever little movie with some jumpy scares and some genuine suspense. Then it has a crappy ending that ends up turning itself around into a good ending. Overall we both enjoyed it, but I'm in no crazy rush to own it or see it again.

It's like King season for movies right now. That's a good short story; I wasn't picturing Cusak as the author, but I can see it.

Yeah, I'm pretty excited for The Mist, as you know.
I'm glad they are doing big Hollywood versions of King's short stories, though I always thought it was cool when he used to give the rights away to new filmmakers.

I'm kind of looking forward to The Mist, too. I'm always leery of how King stories (especially the longer works) are going to translate to film, but this could be good.

Yeah I thought it was a pretty OK movie as well. I started watching it online and decided it was good enough to rent and watch w/Ian.
