I know you are, but what am I?
In addition to the myriad other things I accomplish in a day, I spent some time with my dear old friend
kissdbyagnome for the first time in...geez over ten years. I have known her since I was 8 years old or so, and we also went to college together. Like those chicks in Beaches, we have endured many highs and lows, drama and issues, all that stuff life throws at you. Yet our meeting today felt totally normal and natural, just talking and laughing as if we do this all the time. Some people are just like that; you cut through the bullshit with them and just focus on what's really important.
I saw my first R rated movie in a theatre with her (you know, without my parents because they took us to see anything they were seeing), got drunk for the first time with her, discussed my first sexual encounter with her within 12 hours of it happening, and she was the first person who ever said to me "Dude, I think your mom is crazy." One time she gave me a flourescent green sweatshirt and matching paint splattered bandana. Which I wore, and loved, because it was 1986. LOL
It would be fair to say that we have both grown up a lot since the last time we hung out together (if I'm not mistaken, we went to see this movie. Funny thing about growing older and wiser...some people you grow out of or away from, and some people you grow right back into again. By growing into our truest selves, we appear to have reconnected in a way that lets us each value the other more than we ever had as children. It's pretty amazing when you think about it.
Moving on, here's this thing:
Respond to this post and I will give you the three words that I think MOST accurately describe you...even though the moment I click Post, I'll realize I should swap at least one or two out.
The cost? You have to return the favor by posting this in your own journal.
Some of you are terrible cheaters when it comes time to post in your own journal.

So in addition to YOUR walk down memory lane, here's some of mine... You gave me a Donny and Marie doll for my 9th birthday. I still think about those dolls and think it was one of the best gifts i've ever gotten. We spent prom together...eating taco bell and smoking cloves haha. I still have that rosary you gave me when we were in Junior high. I also have a skull wand you gave me for one of my highschool birthdays that had crystals on each end (and some sort of red stone.) I think after you gave it to me you wished you had kept it for yourself...no? lol And camp (when we were pre-teens) is where we first coined the word WAD:)
Love ya WAD!

Sometimes I wonder what would happen if I got in touch- REALLY in touch- with some of the people I left behind when I moved to the east coast after 5th grade. Some of them I know I wouldn't want to, though, and that's somewhat disappointing.

Yeah, that wand was bad ass. My mom helped me pick it out on one of her "good days."
Right back atcha, man.

That guy was insane.

Methinks Sheila Hartnet was instrumental in the creation of WAD.

I'd like to see some pics of young You to conpare and contrast. You have a pretty distinctive look, I can't imagine not commiting your face to memory.
