I have an INTERVIEW to work at a RADIO STATION!! (actually doing radio things, no less)
So you know...wish me luck.

Does anyone ever get sick of hearing Matt and Trey lip off about censorship? I don't, so I'm posting about it again. I love how Comedy Central went from "we will never air this ep again and we are so sorry--" to "we always intended to air it again, it just hadn't come up in the rotation." Myself, I watch a fair bit of TV and I can tell you that they omitted the ep from at least 2 season rewinds. In fact, before my DVDR went kaput, I intended to sent copies out to people. Now, there is no need for they are showing it again now that it's been nominated for emmy's.

Which goes to prove my theory that network execs have no fucking idea what quality programming actually is; they are far too busy appeasing advertisers and/or pandering to ignorant teens who can't even write a proper sentence when they review shitty shows on the internet.

Anyway, I've had this bottle of fake american champagne in the fridge for when I get a new job. It was in there for so long I had to take it with me when I moved, and I almost drank it last NYE. But I really am saving it for when I actually am employed again...so I may be able to drink it soon. Wouldn't that be fly?

YOU know, its odd to think that Comedy Central will be remembered for being such a force in liberal politics. Maybe its the nature of comedy, but its amazing that Comedy Central has grown from a channel that just used to play stand up bits from comedians to a channel that has The Daily Show, The Colber(t) ReporT, South Park and the Late, but never dead Chapelle Show to keep pushing that envelope of Comedy as Social Comentary that harkens back to the likes of Lenny Bruce

TV was already a profound record of our society. But now it's much more specific than in say the 50's when there might be a single quip about something political. Now we have Stewart and Colbert spelling it out. And I daresay no single show has done what Chapelle has in terms of starting dialogue...not since All in the Family anyway.

The power of comedy is a thing to behold.

I do have a four year degree in broadcasting, after all. Mostly I would me writing and making local commericals, and then trying to get them not to suck. So that would be pretty cool even if it doesn't pay much.
