Once again, I'm out.

Alright friends,

I'm going away for the weekend to have some fun, relax and try to get some plotting done. Plus we're going out on the boat. I've decided that I love boats, plus boating will be a good skill to have in case of zombie holocaust. We're driving up to Clare, which is good. I would not take a plane, I hear they are snake infested this summer.

We're also (K, N and myself) going to see DaVinci Code even though I heard it was terrible. I did sit all the way through Van Helsing, after all. In any case, I'll have a review when I get back. If it's really horrible, I'll try to do a phone post even though I've never done one before.

You just call up and post, right?

Oh, and I'm thinking of nominating H to be Stephen Colbert's new "black friend".
Wouldn't that be cool? He'd be perfect.
Speaking of perfect...

What dress should you wear for Prom?

You have a fun weekend!

Yay for boats! I love taking a boat ride. I'm like a dog in a car hanging over the side, lol.

If there is a zombie hollocaust, would you please call me? i'd make a great skipper. :)

Have a good time and a safe trip.

And you in that dress: rowr!

Have a fantabulous weekend! Boating - I am envious in that happy for you but sad for me way - I love puttering about in boats.

And yes, as my son learned in his "All Flesh Must Be Eaten" campaign, boats are a great anti-zombie defense. I think he got a butt-load of EP for that idea.

I agree a nice Bolero-style jacket would make that a killer dress.

That dress is really cute.

I can't wear dresses :(

[identity profile] wednes.livejournal.com 2006-05-19 07:15 pm (UTC)(link)
I will make every effort to comply with this. ;-}

[identity profile] wednes.livejournal.com 2006-05-19 07:18 pm (UTC)(link)
Thanks man.

I really want to catch up with you when I get back.

I'll add you to my list of post-apocalypse collaborators. We're gonna need all the clever normies we can get.

Tee hee, as long as my hair isn't that hideous blonde.

AFMBE is a great training manual for zombie situations. LOL If it's good enough for Max Brooks, it's good enough for me!

[identity profile] wednes.livejournal.com 2006-05-19 07:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Whoa, did you actually comment here without a flame war breaking out? I almost can't beleive it.

;-}

Everyone can wear dresses, it's just a matter of finding the right one, and the right length shorts to wear underneath!

[identity profile] hollie-horror.livejournal.com 2006-05-19 07:50 pm (UTC)(link)
I cant wear dresses cause of my body shape (mostly my boobs.)

[identity profile] wednes.livejournal.com 2006-05-19 07:52 pm (UTC)(link)
Fie!

I wear plenty of dresses and my figure looks like a reflection in a fun house mirror. But you know... as you like it!

[identity profile] hollie-horror.livejournal.com 2006-05-19 07:56 pm (UTC)(link)
All the dresses I've tried on just look retarded. I'm only 4'11 with 38J bra size.

[identity profile] wednes.livejournal.com 2006-05-19 08:02 pm (UTC)(link)
Hrmph. I would think a short dress with an empire waist would look good. Of course, comfort is the most important thing, so if you're not comfy--why bother?

[identity profile] hollie-horror.livejournal.com 2006-05-19 08:08 pm (UTC)(link)
What's an empire waiste?

[identity profile] wednes.livejournal.com 2006-05-19 08:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Whoops, actually ater looking it up, I see that I was confusing an empire waist with a drop waist. This is funny, since those are the two styles also reccomended for fat gals such as myself.

It's a loose (or drop) waist-line that lowers the look of your waist. They are comfortable and will make you look less top-heavy. Instead of being tight at the waist, it is loose and the middle of the dress hangs abotu where hip hugger pants would be. If the dress was standard "short' length, it should go to the middle of your calf, which is a style that looks good on pretty much any body type.

Here's a link to a fashion glossary just in case you find all this girly crap interesting, as I sometimes do:

Thanks for that link! I was trying to remember the name of that store. My friend Jess shops there and always finds the cutest things. She told me it would be a good place for me to find tops/shirts. I wonder if they have bras my size there? I HATE having to order them online, getting them home and having them be uncomfortable or stupid.

[identity profile] wednes.livejournal.com 2006-05-19 10:06 pm (UTC)(link)
LB stores and catalog/online site have different sizes. I beleive bras in the LB stores go up to 48 E or F. the catalog/online stores go to 60' H or J. I wear an E, so I don't know for sure. they do let you return bras if they don't fit, which some places don't.

Ever try these guys: http://www.braworld.ws/
they kick ass.
