Okay so, once again a good time was had by all...

Beleive it or not, this man is celebrating!

Beleive it or not, this man is celebrating!
Here is my beloved [livejournal.com profile] lickingtoad with
whom I shared a saucy NYE smooch--H having been at work.

Look at these happy people!

From left to right, [livejournal.com profile] kindofblue, [livejournal.com profile] klynnfrost and [livejournal.com profile] slapnticklejr. You can barely see how ill Kassy is;
she couldn't speak above a whisper the whole night.

More smiling types

Here, of course, is [livejournal.com profile] madush69 and [livejournal.com profile] purplecat_a2.
The latter of whom is
wearing a very fetching new blouse.
And of course, they are enjoying some
yummy peach buckle.

Here we see a now bearded Kwame putting together a hilarious Madlib.

From left to right is Cindy (from group),
[livejournal.com profile] pak_man78, Chris once again, and me,
holding Nate's game that shocks you with a low voltage
of electricity when you lose.
Everyone was a good sport when playing; and it was totally fun.

Even though I was disappointed that so many people couldn't make it; a wonderful time was had by those in attendance. {A speedy recovery to [livejournal.com profile] cmdavi, BTW. There was much frolicking, making of merry, and eating of fabulous foods. In addition to the stuff I made, there was a Yule Log from Whole Foods (Mmmm) a wonderful assortment of cookies and sweets including some utterly marvelous vegan brownies, champagne for some, a groovy mexican dip from Kassy, and more chocolaty things than H and I could eat in a week. I loaded everyone up with take-home food and there is still a goodly amount left. I believe H and I will be having puff pastry hors d'ouvres for dinner tomorrow...they were quite yummy.

As since I didn't see Kwame on my birthday, he brought me the coolest gift. It's a glass paperwieght; which I thought was very pretty. Come to find out, it's actually a unique peice by Polish artist Adam Jablonski. So not only is it awesome to look at, but it is connected to my rarely mentioned Polish roots as well.

All in all it was a very fun evening. Well, the part where I hung up on Ryan when he told me he wasn't coming was less fun. I'm hoping this humble yet public apology will suffice until I see him in person. Sometimes my inner brooding manifests itself in bitchy ways. Anywhoo, R and K should come over tomorrow to eat leftover buckle and et cetera *wink* even though there's no new eps of anything on.

Looks like it was a fun and tasty party. Happy New Year!

Darling, I wanted to go, I know that you kow I wanted to come. Unfortunately, things just weren't able to be worked out to go over there last night. I was saddened a great deal by it, though I did have a good night myself, but in the back of my mind I kept thinking, "I wish it worked out for me to go to Wednesday's tonight."

I'm glad it was a good night for you. I certainly think we can come over tonight. In fact, I was going to call and suggest it myself.

Happy New Year. Give me a call when you are up and we'll discuss times for this evening.

Hey, I've added the New Year's eve festivities to my page.

Captions have been left off of the pics to protect the innocent/guilty.

Hey W, can I steal the shot of [livejournal.com profile] purplecat_a2 and me?

I am also very glad that you had a good party. N was really upset that we couldn't get out there early like we had planned (mad at me anyway). We just sat in front of the TV watching The Fantastic 4, and three episodes of BSG. We saw the ball drop and went to bed about an hour later. It was super tame. Not that I mind. I'm a pretty tame person. Anyway Happy New Year!

Looks like all had fun.
Did you get shocked much from the game?

[identity profile] nate101000.livejournal.com 2006-01-01 06:29 pm (UTC)(link)
You should bring Wednes out here so you can try my apple pie with the new crust I'm trying. I intended to make crumb crust and it turned otu to be frosting.

Thanks! Happy Secular New Year to you as well. ;-}

Okay, punk.

I assume everything taking place in all your pics is legal? If not, please adjust appropriately.

And sure, help yourself to the pic, it is a nice one!

[identity profile] wednes.livejournal.com 2006-01-02 12:31 am (UTC)(link)
You were all missed, and everyone asked where you guys were. Plus we have all the food N would have eaten leftover ;-}.

It was a fairly tame affair here as well, excpet for the electric shock game.

[identity profile] wednes.livejournal.com 2006-01-02 12:35 am (UTC)(link)
Ha! It's not really so shocking, but people are terrified by it. It's kind of like if you have a rumble setting on a playstation controller. it's a little harsher than that...unless you set it in high. Then it's slightly more significant.

I equate it more to when your leg is numb and starts to get its feeling back, like a fuzzy prickly sensation. But Im damn quick, so Im cool with it.

I even photoshopped out the lighter sitting on your command center.

[identity profile] wednes.livejournal.com 2006-01-02 05:08 am (UTC)(link)
There was no lighter sitting on my GCC.

[identity profile] kindofblue328.livejournal.com 2006-01-02 05:32 am (UTC)(link)
I don't know what it is, but these pics of lickingtoad lead me to believe he would make a great cult leader, lmao.

[identity profile] wednes.livejournal.com 2006-01-02 05:52 am (UTC)(link)
Well, I've worshipped him as my Great Redeemer for several years now.

[identity profile] kindofblue328.livejournal.com 2006-01-02 06:16 am (UTC)(link)
He would definitely have to put out a book first to convince me!

[identity profile] wednes.livejournal.com 2006-01-02 06:24 am (UTC)(link)
Ha! In my current novel, the character based on Chris puts out a self help book that becomes a religion of sorts. He becomes crazy famous and then sequesters himself on a commune surrounded by close friends...only to live happily ever after.
