Padme Amidala is Luke Skywalker's Mother?!? Holy Crap!
Okay, I haven't seen that sith thing everyone is talking/posting/dreaming/masturbating about. This is one of those insane fandom times when I like to sit back people-watching and pretending I'm not a nerd.
In fact, I am a huge nerd, but space is not my mileiu. Sci-fi is also not my genre, and I'm not especailly fond of action movies though there are a handful of well-done action films I enjoy.
So...while pretending not to be nerdy I was foiled in the following ways:
I see a post which reads Harry Pottter and the half Blood Prince comes out in 58 days. My response: Duh, I already ordered mine. What kind of person doesn't have this on order yet? It better be here the day it comes out. Oh no...what if it gets stolen? I'll die I tells ya, I'll just die.
But you know, Harry Potter fandom is pretty widespread as well. So that's not so bad. But then...
Land of the Dead is out June 24th. Who's going opening night?
And after a week of making fun of people who had big plans for May 19th at midnight I couldn't help thinking "Damn, I have to go opening night otherwise I'll look stupid dressed as a zombie."
