Friday the 13th: a retrospective
Here's your spooky holiday info!!

Unlucky antique dealers...
...but not as unlucky as this particular cast!
Myself, I was 9 years old for most of 1980, and I saw the first 8 Friday the 13th movies in the theatre. In fact, I actually went to summer camp (as a camper, not a counselor) one Sunday, August 15. We took turns terrifying eachother and drawing scary graffitti all over that poor campground. It was pretty damn hilarious. Although, summer camp situations were not that fun for socially awkward individuals like myself. I remember more than anything that there was a girl there who purported to be my freind but in reality was just an utter bitch to me. So my actual memory of Friday the 13th is bitchy, confident girls being bitchy at summer camp, and how ugly and inferior I felt next to them. It's rather a startling contrast to the way I react to people these days.
So now that you have the facts, get out there and scare eachother silly!
