Potential Publishers:

I have narrowed my list of potential publishers to 8 possibles, five of which seem like really good options. I'm still polishing and tweaking the actual novel. Every time I think I'm done with it, I notice a bunch of small things that need fixing. After reading a chapter on libel, I changed a few names.

As for publishing houses, I have no idea what the decorum is as far as telling you all where I'm sending my manuscript, so I guess I won't. There is one house run by a guy I would swear I know. His name sounds so familiar but I can't quite place where I know him from. Some of these houses have cheap, crappy looking websites and I have to wonder why that is. Plus, horror is not as big a market as I thought it was.

I was going to work on my query letter, but someone is coming over for a tarot reading in a bit. And since that is my only source of income at the moment, it has to take precidence. Damn, I wish I had a job. I can't get in touch with the hiring person at the mall, and Clear Channel never called me back. Dang!

One coworker of mine said the book was really good. Another has read 20 pages and has a shazbot load to say about it. I told her to make notes in the margins and give it back.
