A post about my hair:

As you well know, I'm not large with the high maintenance, girly makeupy stuff. But since I was about 17, I have been coloring my hair.

Being a stressed out youth, I started getting gray hair at 16.
After getting the hell away from my insane family, my natural hair color came back.
My natural hair color, for those who don't know, is just a plain old regular brown with no discernable highlites or lowlites. Booooooooring.
So I kept on coloring my hair just to keep it interesting, usually somewhere between maroon, magenta, auburn, reddish brown and all that there. Of course, most hair color shades are named after food. So I'd go "chocolate strawberry", or "sangria", or "black cherry cordial" and the like.

However, being low on cash, I hadn't touched up my color in awhile.
To my horror, it seems that I am sprouting a number of bonafide greys...the kind that actually come from aging. I'm not quite sure how to feel about this.

In any event, my hair will be a lovely shade of maroon in about 20 more minutes.
I think...H's need for immediate pizza has caused him to mess up my timer.

PS i wish my shows would stop being reruns.
I miss Clark and Lex, I miss Hurley, and I want to see a polar bear!!

One more week for Lost (March 30th) but still a month away from new Smallville (April 13). I think Smallville is INTENTIONALLY waiting for LOST to be over for the season because that Polar Bear is eating them in the Ratings.

And rightly so!

In college I dyed away the grays (not many, but enough to concern me). Now...I embrace every one, I have earned them all. I worked hard for them :)

I'm a polar bear, a big Irish one, and you'll see me tomorrow.

Bear is Driving! How Can That Be?!?

I would do well to take a page from that book.

I started going grey when I was 22. The truth is, I love my grey hair. It has a beautiful silvery sheen to it, and most of the grey has come distinct streaks at my temples. It's quite sriking, actually, I get alot of compliments on it. It's become like a trademark for me. My grey hair, like my fat ass, is just a part of who I am, and I'm ok with that. :)

As usual, the ladies of LJ are schooling me in important life lessons.

Although to be clear, I have long been a fan of my ass!

People seem to like me better without my ass.

Meh, I think I'll be cool with that.

Good luck with the hair! I've always liked the reddish-brown shades. Mine does that naturally, so I'm lucky. I recently dyed my hair black, just for kicks. I loved it. It's grown out already, but I may do it again. Sometimes being a girl can be fun.

True.

It actually turned out darker than I planned. But it's still sort of wintery around here, so it's cool.

derr...
