Fie, fie I say!

To whomever is in charge at H & R Block:

I despise you with every fibre of my being.

Your online site is for shit, and your "help" is even worse.
Even your survey to ascertain the quality of your service is grammatically unstable and makes no sense.

After trying many times a day, on different computers, and different browsers for FOUR days, I still have not been able to finish filing my taxes.
Now I learn that to use your in person services, I must pay more than $50 ???

Not in this lifetime, you slags.
I'll walk my return to DC myself before I give you onw red cent.

Now I know why the great Ken Jennings was loathe to reference you on Jeopardy!

Fuck off,

I use TaxAct. Their basic one is free online.

Sweet!

Thanks.

[identity profile] wednes.livejournal.com 2005-02-23 09:11 pm (UTC)(link)
I appreciate that. It wasn't so much the "doing" of the taxes as it was the free e-file. If I haven't figured it out by the weekend, I'll check back with you.

Thanks!

It's such the suck. You'd think they could make it a bit less torturous, since everyone has to do it.

[identity profile] wednes.livejournal.com 2005-02-23 09:14 pm (UTC)(link)
Thank you, I'll check that out.

I used the free TaxAct online last year, too. It was fairly painless, and that's with having bought a house throwing a monkeywrench into my old simple taxes.

I'm having some luck over at Turbo Tax. We'll see how it goes.

Thanks for the info, sweetie!

You're most welcome, honey bunny!

lol

That must suck. My mom majored in accounting, and I really don't make a whole lot of money, so my taxes are really easy to do.

I like the new commercials with Ken Jennings. They're funneh.

*giggle*

I agree, I don't usually try to tape commercials, but that is a great one!

I also taped that old barq's root beer commercial where the job interview guy is calling the hiring guy "Mister Dumbass" but his name is "Dumas".

Melissa and I just did ours, but of course, since I am married, my taxes are rather complicated because the federal government seems to get a kick out of making married people tear open every file drawer in their house looking for scraps of paper. TurboTax made it easier than it would have been though.

[identity profile] wednes.livejournal.com 2005-02-25 11:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, it took me less than half an hour to file federal and state and only cost $20. Go Turbo Tax!!!
