Keeping you all abreast; and I'm just the gal to do it too!
Try though I might, I will never understand why people feel so very romantic on the anniversary of one of the most prolific mafia hits of all time. I mean, it wasn't the mob who got all the snakes out if Ireland, was it? Or was it? I think maybe I'm mixing those up, which is probably a hilarious consequence of my new medication. Or maybe I'm just zany. "Zany" is one of my favorite word origin stories, because it comes from the Italian word Zanni which has it's origins in both theatre, and hilarity. So there ya go.
In case you hadn't heard, there is a new South Park Studio site that is hella cooler than the old one, has many more choices and more backgrounds. I'm sure you'll see a flood of new userpics soon if you haven't already. I saw one guys pic that had a sort of old tyme film affect over the pic, like lines and grainy stuff...anybody know how to do that? It was pretty slick.
As for us, I was going to make H his favorite marzipan cake for Val's day. But we're almost out of butter and this cake takes one whole stick. Actually, I would have more butter except that some exploded while I was making coffee cake over the weekend. It made a turrible mess [sic]. So I'm instead making H some rice pudding. He likes that a lot. And as soon as he cleans out the greezer, I'll actually make the ice cream I've been talking about making for a week now.
Mad props to
cmdavi_70 for reading my novella (twice, no less) and sending it back to me with commentary. That was awesome. I think we agree on what changes needed to be made. It's pretty exciting stuff to be getting such positive reactions from people whom I admire and respect. It suggests to me that even if I never find a publisher or agent, it will be because publishers lack vision, and not because my work sucks. I'm sure I've said this before, but I'm much more sure of myself now.
Further, madder props to
pak_man78 for making sure I made it to that cumbersom job place this morning. It was boring and lame, but a nessesary evil if I ever intend to get my crazy life back on track. In short, these people are going to help me figure out how to get my teaching certs and get a real job. A REAL job... *wistful*

Wow, you're Governor George W. Bush's famous
anachronism -- he claimed that his favorite
book as a child was The Very Hungry Caterpillar
by Eric Carle. Actually, Dubya, that book
wasn't published until you were in college!
Nice try!

Hey, maybe it was...he's not that bright you know.
And finally, H took me to Olive Garden for the love holiday. They have this drink there called a Chocolate Almond Amore which can come without alcohol for the likes of me.
If you ever get near one, I suggest you drink it. Mmmmmm...Plus I had the Tour of Italy, half of which is in my fridge right now.
