My thoughts about TV et cetera:

Tonights new Simpsons was very funny. From the Mario, to the cameo's to the Jeff Albertson bombshell. Good stuff.

American Dad was pretty funny too. A tad derrivative maybem but what isn't. It's more of that yummy, speedy humor that Seth McFarlane does so well.
If anyone missed it, you can come over and watch it.

Is Chris Noth coming to CI permanently, or just once during sweeps? I can't tell from the articles, and desperately need to know.

Even though I hate PG-13 thrillers, I will probably have to see Cursed just because of the amazing cast they have assembled. Michael Rosenbaum and Scott Baio in the same film with Christina Ricci and James Brolin. It's madness I tells ya.

Speaking of PG-13 thrillers that suck, everyone who paid to see Boogeyman this weekend needs to form a single file line and prepare for me to kick your ass.
Why don't you all just give ME seven million dollars over the course of one weekend. I guarantee I can be more entertaining than that hunk of trash.

I got the cops called on me tonight. Saying that I was throwing a wild party and smoking pot;when I was here all by myself and burning incense. What do you think about that?????

I think your neighbors have a bit too much time on their hands.

Was it pot scented insense?

[identity profile] wednes.livejournal.com 2005-02-07 07:06 am (UTC)(link)
Hmph. Can't please everybody I suppose.

The alien that talked like Paul Lynde was pretty funny.

Damn... I was hoping the Boogyman would have been good... :( oh well... maybe I'll see it for free if I'm extrememly bored... thanks for the tip... (although what did I expect). :P

LOL no it was lavender I think. Plus I think the girl that called the cops on me ls the one that likes to play with animals and not in a friendly way. If I find out she is going to get it! Piss me off!

[identity profile] wednes.livejournal.com 2005-02-07 07:38 am (UTC)(link)
To be fair, I didn't actually see it. I could tell it would suck from the trailer, and the reviews agreed. I'm just horrified that it made $7 million. If people would quit giving thier money to watered down shit like this, Hollywood would be forced to make better films. But no...

Revenge, eh? I thought you Christians weren't into that...not openly anyway.

Talk about a bombshell

[identity profile] anathon.livejournal.com 2005-02-07 12:23 pm (UTC)(link)
I guess after 15 seasons they had to do something to keep it going and actually giving cimic book guy a name. KA-BOOM

Still amazed. As soon as he introduced himself as Jeff, I was like...did you see that? Did you see that? What just happened?

[identity profile] sudrin.livejournal.com 2005-02-07 02:08 pm (UTC)(link)
I remember when Christia Ricci was pretty.. Now she looks like an orange attached to a twig.

I think you are being sarcastic ;-).

I'm all too aware that you don't enjoy the newer eps as much, lots of fans don't from what I gather. I do find it funny that they dealt with an ongoing fan question with very little fanfare. Usually there's more hype surrounding such things, ie: the current kerfluffle over Patty finally coming out.

Anyway, they usually give us something good after the superbowl, so I'm glad i stayed up.

I was very sad to hear that she had gone bulimic..saving vomit in tupperware and such. such a beautiful girl, and used to ahve such a great attitude about her body. So I can't tell if she's in this film ebcuse she's losing her craft, or because it's actually a good film.

I think I know, but I want to hold out long enough to give Wes Craven the benefit of the doubt.

PS, H has talked me into watching Battlestar Gallactica, so I'm going to catch up.

[identity profile] sudrin.livejournal.com 2005-02-07 02:24 pm (UTC)(link)
OOOh!? I didn't know HE was going to watch.. He sounded kind of disinterested! Its a great show! I've got all the episodes so far if you need to see them.

[identity profile] wednes.livejournal.com 2005-02-07 03:00 pm (UTC)(link)
He's been taping them, but I guess he's missing 2 (33, and water) plus some of the pilot is cut out or something. He's not a dilligent recorder like I am.

But yeah, since it's on Mondays also, he's been trying to watch. And has been damn impressed. Even though I don't really have time for new TV, H and I don't watch anything together religiously, so I thought I'd give this a whirl for him.

[identity profile] sudrin.livejournal.com 2005-02-07 03:03 pm (UTC)(link)
There is a "Marathon" on tomorrow if you want to get caught up. Basically its all the episodes that have aired so far.

07:00 PM BATTLESTAR GALACTICA 33
08:00 PM BATTLESTAR GALACTICA WATER
09:00 PM BATTLESTAR GALACTICA BASTILLE DAY
10:00 PM BATTLESTAR GALACTICA ACT OF CONTRITION
11:00 PM BATTLESTAR GALACTICA YOU CAN'T GO HOME AGAIN

You might want to check the times, because I don't know if thats an hour later for you or not. I can't tell how the Sci Fi channel is doing its scheduling. I will say though, that BSG is my favorite Sci Fi show since DS9. Not that this would motivate you to watch any more, just me going on about it. :-)

I was legitimately surprised by giving him a name. I have always liked comic book guy and I was always happy when he made an appearance. I even have a CBG voice. “Worst episode ever.”

This raises two problems for me though. The first is that after 15 years together I think the simpsons are just taking a different path them I am. I hate to say it and it brings me much pain but I think we are growing apart. The second problem is that I am sarcastic so much, people often cannot tell when I am being sincere or sarcastic. I am not sure how to work on this. BUt I recognize it as a problem.

I guarantee I can be more entertaining than that hunk of trash.

But it's BARRY WATSON, who along with the MR, made Sorority Boys one hell of a funny movie. I love Barry Watson. I'm totally going to see that flick just for him.

As for Cursed, I have to go simply because it's done by one-time god-of-horror (and now washed-up-has-been) Wes Craven. I have to see if his career can recover from his last few flops. God, I miss the days of the original Nightmare on Elm Street (even though I was like two months old at the time...I still felt it, man).

Well if it is a problem then I would talk to the office manager. That is what I was talking about. I wouldn't do anything physical no. :)

In case you didn't find the answer already...

Chris Noth returns to Law and Order.

Thanks. that article neglects to mention that D'Onoffrio is sick with something. I mean, being on a 31/2 season show isn't too grueling for most actors.

[identity profile] sudrin.livejournal.com 2005-02-09 09:13 pm (UTC)(link)
I think he's sick with "I need more pay!" disease. ;-)
