And that's why a "Mad Scientist" is often less desireable than your garden variety scientist...
Is it just me, or do things seem like a terrible mess right now? The world is going loco, we're still involved in a terrible war that makes no sense, is built on lies and supported by a man that most of us dont' even like or want in that job. And still, more people are dying.
H had a death in the family over the weekend, but we just found out today. The guy H's mom is married to, Ward, his daughter was killed on Friday. I have no other facts than that, and of course it is my task to call H's mom to find out the details and so we can send flowers. Ward also has a son who I beleive is 15 and lives with Ward and H's mom. How terrible for him to lose his sister, I'm at a loss for what to do, other than sending some flowers and a card. It sucks.
In case you didn't get the news, I blew off my first session of NaNoWriYe because I was too into editing. As it happens, I got very little editing done, but I have some good ideas and whatnot. I'm still trying to collect more useful feedback so i can determine which things and characters need more words applied to them. I also have an idea for a romance novel to work on in my next session, which I may just start Feb 1 instead of the 15th which was my original plan. So that would be good. People say that it is easy to get romance novels published...if that's true, it could help me make some connections so I could get something important published. I really like my novella a lot, and I honestly believe it is better than some published things I have read. So we shall see i guess.
Today I'm supposed to be making an appointment with a job search helping guy that my therapist told me about. He works with a lot of nut-job and criminals and stuff, so I'll probably be a refreshing change of pace for him. Ha. Good one, me! Also, this meeting I'm supposed to attend tomorrow if supposed to be good for networking (among other things) so maybe I'll meet someone who can get me a job. Last time I had to go to N/A in order to get meds, I was the only childless woman there as well as being the oldest by at least 7 years.

Made linguine alfredo last night. Didn't turn out very good...I think because I had to use dried pasta instead of fresh. They were out of fresh pasta at the store because H wanted to go in the afternoon instead of the morning. So really, it's H's doing that dinner was mediocre at best. See how I did that? I'm a regular "Blame Thrower"!
