I don't like Mondays

I got up at the crack of freakin' dawn today. That's because I slept basically all night, and wanted to make sure I made it on time to my incredibly early doctors appointment. But of course, that did not happen. First of all, it was literally 2 degrees outside. And my doc is two bus rides and a quarter mile walk from my place because I don't have the $12 it would take to take a damn cab. Actually, sometimes I take a $5 cab ride to the mall, and catch the bus from there but I didn't have $5 either. H would have given it to me had I whines about it earlier, but I didn't really want to be hitting him up for unesseary monies. I hate that.
But anyway, we got dressed all super warm and went out and missed the damn bus. I don't think the busses were running right because of MLK day. Because of course the best way to establish our fondness for civil rights is to make poor people wait out in the cold for longer than they would normally. I reiterate my previous theory that the reason my life is so comically tragic (not that missing a bus represents real tragedy, but still) is because I derrive such pleasure from telling the woeful tales to the all of you. Anyway, I'll be hitting some of you up for rides this week, so if anyone wants to drive me to one or more doctors appointments during the day (I'm looking at YOU, Mr's Martin and Kalamas) do get in touch with me.

The Great LiveJournal
Outage of 2005

During the outage I discovered this thing called a pencil that can write in this thing called a notebook.

What did you do?

The good news is that we are going to see House of Flying Daggers on H (well, not really because we aren't paying). That will be cool, since I never did get to see Hero. I also made us a yummy lunch which I just realized I was going to serve on a bed of greens and completely forgot. Oops.

EDIT: We did not go to the movies, as we decided not to spend on the cab. Plus it's rude to get a free movie and not buy a snack.

I got this crazy phone call from some drunk guy who had been out drinking with my old roomate who now lives in California. He wanted to know if I wanted to go to breakfast with him. Too bad he was in Cali, because i was totally in the mood for some breakfast. I also learned that by old roomate got some kind of swank promotion at his job, which is awesome. Then be started getting all drunk and weepy about how much he missed me. Drunks are so funny when they do that!

Lastly, for all of you out there who enjoy buying things: Check out these things you can purchase with the money you make at your job. Since I cannot purchase any at this time, I feel that one or more of you should make said purchase in my absence. Go on, buy one. You KNOW you want to.
