More about the media:

He grows up, and marries YOU!
He grows up, and marries YOU!

How can anyone not have a crush on this kid? He's ADORABLE!!

Check it, it's from Goblet of Fire

Moving on to television, specifically what we watch in the absense of "fresh" Smallville yet again:
For one brief exciting moment, I thought tonights episode of LOST was breaking from accepted TV formula in crazy, new and inventive ways. Instead, it just fucked with it's loyal veiwers the way TV so often does. Just kill her already--she sucks, she can't speak French, and Sayid could do much better! And I'm telling you people, Locke is a bad man!

yeah, we were disappointed in Lost. wtf is all we could basically say. (except for the cheering and then the of course followed booing when she was alive).

but of course we will keep on watching :P

That would have been such a great break from form...instead of making us like a character before they are killed...to really show what a bitch they are, then have them die would have been Inspired! But no...typical formula.

Oh well, looks like more Polar Bear action coming next week.

Tough luck, Smallville!

I missed the first half. Please tell me they're stepsiblings. That whole smoochie scene made me want to vomit. (Cuz seriously, what in the hell is there to love about HER, anyway?)

The scoop on Lost insists this isn't a Sci Fi show...I'm trying to figure out how that's possible. Unless it's all happening on Dallas in someone's dream...

[identity profile] wednes.livejournal.com 2005-01-13 06:57 am (UTC)(link)
During the first half, they went out of thier way to establish that Shannon and Boone are not blood relations.

Ha. I have heard people say that too, about it not being "Sci fi". So I shall be most interested in hearing the non-sci-fi explanation for the tropical polar bears. Plus I missed an ep where Sayid supposedly finds whoever is sending out the distress signal in French. So I'm probably missing some vital info.

I missed it (arrh that's what I get for changing my schedule around. I hope my dad taped it) but my brother and dad are convinced that Locke is an angel. They're also convinced that everyone is actually dead, and that they're in Purgatory on the island with Locke as the guide kind of guy, so you know... They're a bit insane.

I'm beginning to think Locke is a bad, bad man as well.

[identity profile] wednes.livejournal.com 2005-01-13 02:47 pm (UTC)(link)
I suppose that's possible. Interesting theory about the Purgatory. That would explain a lot, including why it is not a 'sci fi" show.

[identity profile] sudrin.livejournal.com 2005-01-13 03:15 pm (UTC)(link)
I dispute your claim that Locke is a bad man. He's a very proud man, who for once feels real control in his life and he is using it to his advantage without the feelings of others, but I don't think he really would bring harm to anyone on the island.

As for "Smallville", it returns January 26th, TWO MORE WEEKS. I don't know if they expect anyone to be watching then though. I have a strong feeling that this episode will show a HUGE drop in viewership. But we will see, maybe its bulletproof with its current fanbase. But a few more episodes like "Spell" and *I* will quit watching.

I maintain that Locke is on a path to badness. Right now he's doing smallish things that show little regard for his fellow strandees. By sweeps, he'll be some kind of militia-style nut job.

although i confess that I'm also judging by previous roles taken by Mr. O'Quinn. I love him as an evil guy.

yeah...not sure what to expect with Smallville. Interested, of course, but not as stoked as i am to see more polar bears on Lost.

Last night's Lost was much better than
the previous weeks "Suitcase Episode".

I don't know if Lock is bad, but he obviously
knows, or has a good idea of whats going
on.

[identity profile] wednes.livejournal.com 2005-01-13 05:09 pm (UTC)(link)
He does indeed seem to know more than he is telling.

I agree that last weeks ep seemed a bit unfinished.

Now all I have to do is event a homosexual ray gun(wait, you can just 'catch' the 'homosexual disease' by hearing/learning/being around homosexuals, right?), move to England, get past security, and make him like me.

I hate people that have flawless skin. Yeah, I'm grateful I don't have bad skin, but why isnt' mine perfect like his???

[identity profile] madush69.livejournal.com 2005-01-13 11:26 pm (UTC)(link)
The only reason your skin isn't perfect like his is because famous people have crews to make them look that way, both make-up, and photoshop. Don't you sweat your skin, I bet you look just fine.

How can anyone not have a crush on this kid? He's ADORABLE!!

Well, quite easily, actually. A: I'm a raging dyke; and B: When I do go for men (usually in bouts of depression), I'm into men who are old enough to shave. Preferably, old enough vote, too. But that's just my perspective on the whole thing. You carry on with your Daniel Radcliff infatuation. :-)

[identity profile] wednes.livejournal.com 2005-01-14 05:18 am (UTC)(link)
Probably because you don't have an entire staff puitting make up on you and lighting your face just right all the time. Those kids don't have perfect skin either, they just shoot around it.

[identity profile] wednes.livejournal.com 2005-01-14 05:20 am (UTC)(link)
Okay, fine.

I am feeling rather like a pedophile...first Tom Welling and now this...

[identity profile] lirrin.livejournal.com 2005-01-14 04:00 pm (UTC)(link)
Hey, Tom Welling is 27 (and married...) Lust away. I do. ;-)
