You know what? Fuck off, that's what.
I notice that I've been posting less often than ususal as of late. I guess that's mostly because I don't have much to say besides the usual "my life sucks and I feel trapped and don't know what to do" occasionally jazzed up by the occasional new product or horrific failure. In case you hadn't heard, my latest horrible failure involves trying to go back on medication and being told I can't have any meds unless I go to NA meetings at least once a week in addition to once weekly therapy. That's actually pretty ironic since I recently had to stop volunteering at the shelter since I can't afford the night ride anymore. If I were anywhere near as mobil as these people seem to think I am, I'd probably be working. Hell, I don't even have any boots I can wear in the snow. I know, bitch bitch bitch...it's all I ever do. That's why I don't post much anymore.
Rather than enjoying a new product or film, H and I watched the Starskey and Hutch pilot on one of our new free On Demand channels. As much as I hate Comcast, I do enjoy On Demand. That show does not really hold up though, but it's funny to be reminded of how well parodied it is in the Ben Stiller movie. Ha HA. I wanted to go out to the movies but H didn't want to go.
My success of the day is that I got H's printer to work again. I tried to print a copy of my manuscript last night, but it didn't work. There were a lot of new wires and such in out computer room, so I didn't want to mess with it. Plus I got to thinking that maybe I shouldn't use 218 slices of H's paper, since there are only 500 slices in a pack. So I called H to ask him to print it for me at work, then called back later to remind him. Still though, he forgot. But long story short, I figured it out myself. It wasn't printing because the little sliding thing that's like a drawer to hold the paper when it comes out...that thing wasn't pulled out all the way. Maybe I should work at a trouble shooting place because i'm so good with details. Anyway, I'll be glad to have a hard copy because editing is too hard with all the scrolling and page marking and whatnot.
Damn! Actually, I think the ribbon or whatever is bad on this printer, because now it is not printing a whole page. This is soo frustrating I could spit nails! I have been trying for 3 days just to sit with this manuscript and look thru it and make notes, and I still can't seem to do it. Fie! Fie, damn, and blast, I say!
This Geek Test was a tad disappointing. Not one Simpsons or Harry Potter question on the whole damn thing. And yet, I still managed to be a 4th level or "Uber Geek" which is pretty scary considering.
We are shopping tomorrow, which means we'll be trying out our new ice cream maker at long last. H gets to pick when we make first, which will be Peanut Butter vanilla ice cream. Yummy. Then I'm going to try a coconut pineapple ice milk for my own bad self. That will be nice, at least.
