Check it!

I finally figured out the S2 style all by myself...so I have a new layout, just like a LJer who knows what the hell they are doing.

I was going to go out today, but H surprised me by planning to take me out to Outbakc Steakhouse, which we love. It's funny, because while Dave was visiting he asked me why I and H go to the same 2 restaurants all the time (we also love Olive Garden) when Ann Arbor has so many great eating palces to try out. I thought about this, and decided that it's mostly because if we are trying something new, it should be something I've cooked. I go to restuarants that have things I can't really cook, or don't have the kitchen space to prepare. I like Outback because I can get a really rare burger...H doesn't like rare meat, so I never make it that way at home. So in the end, the fact that I'm a decent cook keeps me out of Ann Arbors wilder dining establishments. Besides, we're too poor to try out a place and find that we don't like it.

NaNoWriYe has begun, but I have not. It seems that now everyone else in the apartment is some kind of Playstation addict, and now I can never have any time alone in the office. I mean, I could sit here and type I suppose, but since I'm working on a "real" novel I need space to spread out notes and piles of drafts and no noisy distractions. What I really need is my own computer and an office, but I'd settle for a word processor and a well lit closet. Hhmph! Anyway, once everyone goes back to work around here, I'll be a writing dynamo once again.

H surprised me by putting some new stuff on my phone. Now I have the Law & Order ring at long last, a wallpaper of Norman Bates (squee!) and a Screensaver of Clark and Lex in the barn from Smallville. It doesn't actually move, but screensavers on a cell phone are kind of silly anyway...

Anywhoo, the job search resumes tomorrow.

I have to do a 1 and 1/2-hour intake at my new head-doc place on Friday morning at 10am. Can anyone drive me and hang out during the appointment? You can read of play GBA in the lobby. I have to go and don't want H to lose all kinds of sleep to come with me. But I also don't want to go alone. Come to think of it, you could just drop me off and pick me up later, I just don't want any of the craziness like last time I went to the head doc.

Old People.

Hey, that's pretty cool. And you said you didn't know what you were doing! You know how to do more stuff than I do!

[identity profile] wednes.livejournal.com 2005-01-03 02:28 am (UTC)(link)
I should hope so, I'm quite a bit older than you after all...

...I have NOT, however, studied Kaballah.

[identity profile] anarchys-savior.livejournal.com 2005-01-03 04:22 am (UTC)(link)
LOL Leave it to you to turn an entirely innocent sentence into something sexual!

The first step to studying Kabbalah is learning how it is spelled...LOL

Thanks a lot.

Nice scarf, BTW.

Yeah, that's my bad...and Esher's I suppose.

Anyway, feel free to use it if you like.

I miss Ann Arbor. Visiting you there reminded me how much. Except for my childhood home, I think its the only other place on earth i've really felt "At Home". But one of the things I liked about it was how there WERE so many places to eat. So from my point of view it was a bit odd. But I know what you mean about the certainty of known places. That's why I only ever ordered the Cancun at Chi-Chi's (Sob) because I knew it was always going to be good. Speaking of Olive Garden. I have some strange curse when it comes to that place. Some mishap often befalls me if I attempt to go there.

Maybe it's a sign that you should learn to cook Italian.

Sorry to hear you were in an accident, BTW. Glad to hear you're okay.

You have a Harris icon from Freaks and Geeks! Oh, my God, that is so cool.

guru Harris

haha I am glad you like it

I was browsing some Freaks and Geeks fan site and they had a character section and the Harris picture was not only exactly the right size to be an LJ icon (a SIGN), but it was Harris reading the "Monster Manual"

I could not resist
