X miss

We opened gifts today. H got me this really cool ceramic stien with Jack and Sally from Nightmare Before Christmas on it. It is damn cool. He says I'm getting another gift, but I don't get it until sometime today for some reason. Who knows what's up with that...

H's mom sent us a $50 gift cert from JC Penny, and a catalog to pick stuff out. We are thinking of getting an ice cream machine that needs ice and rock salt. It seems like it might get expensive to have to keep rock salt around, but since H eats a lot of ice cream, and I could make all kinds of cool sorbets and yogurts and stuff...it might be money saving in the end. Anyone care to comment from experience here? I tend to make lots of use out of kitcheny gifts, so those are always good.

Tomorrow we're trading gifts with C and P, and my good friend Dave will be joining us, as he is once again in town.
Any of the rest of you that would like to stop by for cake are certainly welcome to RSVP if you'd like to join us.

We watched all the appropriate Xmas films: It's Wonderful Life, both version of Miracle on 34th Street, and A Christmas Story. Good stuff.
Thankfully, no one shot thier eye out that I am aware of.
and H just came in to tell me that it is snowing.

I gave Clarence and Pentelope a can of catfood for Christmas.
They seemed to enjoy it.

I think I might be suffering a case of.... soap poisoning...

Assuming they are actually cats, that's very nice of you to think of them on Christmas. We gave our four cats balls of used wrapping paper. Last year, we gave them catnip toys, but one of them opened his gift before Christmas. So, catnip was out again; hence, paper. Don't you wish everyone else could be that easy to shop for?

Uhhhhhhh. I have 300lbs of rock salt in the back of my car. You are welcome to it, after the snow melts. I think it was about $4 a 50lb bag.

Yeah well, then you should stop using such unseemly language!

See you around 7pm?

I do. I also wish more people on my list were as thrilled at recieving those plastic rings that go around the lid to milk.

;-)

Really?

Does this mean we have to share the ice cream with you?

Do I really need to answer this? Of course you don't have to do anything, but I don't have to let you have the rock salt, either ;)

Happy days, darlin'

I guess we'll go ahead and get the ice cream maker then, I'd been wanting one for awhile.

My cat Vikter "Trouble" Hugo loves to play fetch with tags from my dad's dry cleaned shirts. He only likes those. It's very strange.

That's funny, that's what H said.
