That's Samhain, Dumass!
I went to work today, thinking everyone would be in the halloween spirit, no one would come to movies, and a bunch of nice, sweet kids would come in trick or treating. Big fucking bust on that one...
I brought in a bunch of extra hats so people could look silly even if they didnt' bother to dress up. Success there. The kids were rude and rowdy and grabby with parents who did nothing to discourage their insolent offspring.
Zillions of old people came to see Greek Wedding and Mostly Martha. Love comedies on halloween? What is the world coming to?
I did forget to mention yesterday that I saw the sneak preview of Spirited Away with Uterdic. It was better than expected, though it dragged along in parts. Cool characters and scenes, and loads of japanese mythology that I'm dying to read up on now. One good witch, one bad witch...so that was okay by me.
Also, you local Ann Arbor types can hear my lilting, lovely voice by dialing 994-1000 which is the what's playing @ the Madstone #. May you never be that bored.
