Pic I'm pretending I made myself: I almost forgot to post my opinion on the Veep debates, which I will now do, via this hilarious "photo". Actually, I'm less afraid Mr Burns will lead us into peril than Dick. Although Dick is not nearly as lovable as Monty!!

I was thinking about going to see Hero, or Shaun of the Dead tomorrow night. But then I remembered that I have to stay home and watch John Kerry debate Dr Evil for an hour and a half. Should give me a good opportunity to relieve my aggressions by yelling at the TV. I'm also going to take my filled out application and resume to the shelter and see about getting an interview for employment.

Speaking of which, big thanks to inthaclouds who has risen to the occasion beautifully by hooking me up with blankets next week. Also, nate101001 and fyreangel are joining forces to hook me up with the means to learn hoe to crochet. Imagine that, a new skill for me, Wednes.

Also, belated "Get Well Soon" to the lovely absinthofheart who is recovering from surgery. I'm sorry I couldn't make it out to see you tonight. I hope you are well and that everyone at your place is making things as easy for you as possible.

Who all wants to come over Saturday night? I need to figure out how much food to make. Happily, I started a sourdough starter on Tuesday, and it already is frothy and bubbly and has hooch on it. So that is all good news. I'm thinking I'll go ahead and proof it before i go to sleep, and then can have bread by Saturday...Sunday at the latest. Or maybe I'll make that Oat bread with the blueberries again. That was pretty crazy with goodness. Anyway, do let me know if you plan to attend. And yes, derekfz, I have already assumed you won't make it.

Hey.. I love to help out. I'm gunna hunt up a few blankets too.. throw it all into a box. I'm sure they won't be the nicest looking things, but warm and without holes and such :) I have a fuzzy Christmas one that asshole's grandma gave me.. She's a strange one. It just won't get any use here.. So I'll send it along.

The new shelter is called the Robert J Delonis Center, or you could just say "Washtenaw county shelter Association, since they also help out with the women & childresn shelter too.

Thanks! I'm doing a bit better. Still in a good bit of pain, but Vicoden is helping. We'll see how I'm doing tomorrow, and we might stop by if I am up to it. N said you guys might come out Sunday. That'd be cool. Yes. people here are trying to make me comfy, mostly by letting me sleep. N has been really great at getting me ice packs and liquids to drink. He even washed my hair yesterday! He's great to have around in times like this.
