Ever feel a little old and then somthing like this happens???

Then someone else said I "must be old" after I had to explain the phrase "peanut gallery".

I was gonna go to a party tonight but as it's almost 8:30 I wonder if I shouldn't just have some hot cocoa and go to bed!
Sheesh!

Of course, after the party I'll be slipping home to feast on crumpets and lemon curd, courtesy of the lovely dollmaker, civil . Thank you so much, my dear!

i feel a bit old (although mostly just aggravated) talking to my friend jimmy on the phone because, for one thing, we have somewhat similar tastes in music (punk rock), but i'm quite old school and he likes all these boring bands from the last seven years or so that i just don't think are very interesting and he has no particular sense or appreciation of history in regards to the music he likes (which is a huge aggravating problem in general with younger people who are into punk rock). i can't really wrap my head around how to educate somebody who drools so hard over crappy bands like Anti-Flag and can't comprehend why I like, say, Jawbreaker.

i could either stay awake and somehow go to work, which would be insane because when i got off work at 3pm, i will have been awake for 26 hours, or i could call into work in about 10 minutes and ask for the day off, then go to bed. i'm actually not sure which is the better option at the moment.

um.. yeah.. i ended up unintentionally taking off all of last week. i say "unintentionally" becuase, you know, i didn't plan on taking the whole week off at any point, but it ended up that way. i don't necessarily LIKE missing work, knowing that i need the money, but you know how it is.. miss one or two days and you start gettin' lazy...
