Who knew I had so much to say?

Went to work tonight for a screener of Envy which H's sister is watching right now. Over 150 people were there, which is cool because i got to do the curtain talk. Usually I dont' get to talk crowds that big because that is [livejournal.com profile] madush68's territory.

Last night Honore and i watched 28 Days Later since she hadn't seen it. I always enjoy watching that particular "zombie" flick. That Brendan Gleeson is great and has tremendous range. He is basically unrecognizable from his other roles. check him out on IMDB if you don't beleive me. I am also excited to buy the new Texas Chainsaw Massacre, but am waiting to get it used from Blockbuster.

Speaking of Blockbuster, I was saddened to learn that they no longer rent games for the Gameboy. I wonder WTF with that? I certainly don't want to spend upwards of $30 to find out that the Sims is not the game for me. Of course the fact that i can play Q-Bert for hours at a time leads me to think no new game purchases are really nessesary. Yet, I suspect that Sims is way far fun.

I was looking forward to having dinner with H and relaxing this weekend after work Saturday. Hacing people over and just enjoying myself. Turns out, after working Fri and Sat like normal, I have to work open til 6pm on Sunday, go to an 11am Doc appointment on Monday, and work the Baby show on Tuesday. Which means i can't sleep in with H one single day before he goes back to work next week. And that, dear freinds, is a suck since I've barely spent any time with him for the last 2 weeks his sis has been here. And now they want me to work a double on Friday, which I am pretty much opposed to doing, since I asked for that shift and they wouldn't give it to me.

This also means that I will be unavailible to hang out with K and N on Sunday for kite flying et al. I think it is again supposed to rain, but we had an awesome time staying inside last weekend. Woe is Wednes, only about half of my life is frivolous and fun...it's just not fair. I'd really like to get my fun to bland ratio up to like 80/20.

And of course I'd like to make a birthday shout out to he following dead guys:
deceased Japanese emperor Hirohito, racing legend Dale Ernhard, and jovial media mogul William Randolph Hearst, who raised a bank robber, loved "Rosebuds" and got made fun of by Orson Wells.
Happy Birthday gents!

That truly does suck since we will probably not be coming out there on Saturday due to a lack of funds for gas. I'm sorry fun is avoiding you this week. Feel free to come over during the week if you want.

so it WAS you, Benjamin Barker

Ah, a veritable celebrity sighting! Next time I'll introduce myself---I was at Envy with a friend and her mom and her mom's friend. They might have been overwhelmed to see that I "know" a celebrity at the Madstone. . . ..

While [livejournal.com profile] madush68 certainly has a panache to his banter, and that great RRRAAADIOOOO voice, there's something to be said for your laid-back, spontaneous style, you know? I was happy to see a new face delivering The Word.

Now if you can just get them to come up with another variation on hangman besides M __ D S T O N E ! It could be just one more word, slipped in among the 5 times M __ D S T O N E is up there before the moovie. You know? It wouldn't even have to be a smutty word for it to be funny.

I wish I had a car, i would totally come out there during the week to hang out. Transportation eludes me still...

He's quite a charmer, and local radio personality to boot.
