Sometimes I love remakes.
Watched the 1997 version of 12 Angry Men tonight after discussing it briefly with someone at
film_classics . I also enjoyed the VanSant/Vince Vaughn version of Psycho a few nights ago. That is a fun film right there.
Speaking of films, TCM was not bad. It was plenty disturbing, suspenseful and GORY. In fact, it was a disturbing, tense bloodbath akin to...well...House of 1,000 Corpses. Not what I'd call superior filmaking, but does some thing very well. And R Lee Ermy...WTF?!?!?
You will be happy to learn that my copy of Zombie Survival Guide by Mel Brook's Son has finally arrived. I had to special order it from WaldenBooks in the mall and it took 2 days. So they are swank, and I'm picking it up tomorrow. Hopefully I'll be able to use the new information to update my Ann Arbor zombie map.

wednes !!!

I adopted a cute lil' dragon fetus
from Fetusmart! Hooray fetus!
I haven't been posting much in the way of quizzes, but I couldn't resist having my own fetus, barren loser that I am! I've been looking online for wedding dresses and places who make custom rings. Just getting a sense of things has been quite the ordeal. Everything I like is super expensive. I hadn't really thought of spending $500 on a one occasion dress. I just want a simple, flattering gown and a nice small cerimony and reception where everyone gets enough to eat and has fun and is comfortable. How hard could that be?
Going to see Kill Bill2 tonight at 11:30.
Should arrive home in the mood for kung-fu fighting.
H's sister Honore (or She-H, H-lette etc.) is coming to stay with us for 10 days. She'll be here on Saturday. Aside from the mall, what are cool things to do with a girl who doesn't like clubs around here?

have you tried looking on ebay for a dress? it's *full* of new wedding gowns at very cheap prices (then you can have it altered to fit ya' perfectly). there are even places in the area where you can rent a designer gown for the occasion... no buying required! :-D
if some man is crazy enough to ever marry me, i want this dress.... just not in a size 4.... i'd never fit into that a a million-bajjilion years

Also, "12 Angry Men" is one of my favorite movies ever. Actually, it's one of only two non-comedies that I would consider any kind of favorite. And I do mean, of course, the black and white Henry Fonda version. I find it gripping every time. Haven't seen it in a good while, though.
When searching through my journal looking for something from the beginning of last year, I found my thoughts on the remake of said movie, and that was just 2 or 3 days, so I was amused that you're mentioning it now.

Well, glad I am sooo damn amusing.
Okay, that came out all wrong, because I am in a piss poor mood today.
"I can't go to the library anymore everybody stinks!"
