My long, long day.
Woke up this morning at some ridiculous hour, which many of you know because I posted. Walked that dog who lives here and went to work by 9:15 in the morning. Stayed there until 2, and used my time thinking up reasons not to punch HHB in the face, since I'm still pretty mad at him over last week.
After work, I had some free time before i was meeting H for lunch. So i did infact go to the Oxegyn bar. It was pretty cool. They have a big screen TV where they play nature shows. And you can sit at the counter, or in a big comfy recliner (that's what I picked) or is a confy desk chair with internet access. You can get aromatherapy with your oxegyn, and sound therapy too if you want it. Myself, I had a 10 minute session with calming lavendar. it was awesome, like how you feel when you get done excersizing...except I'd been sitting there breathing.
And not only do i get half off, but if I bring in a friend, they get half off too. Sadly, both my roomates are making fun of me for paying for oxegyn in the first place so i have no one to take. But I do get 2, 20 minute session for $15 if I go before 3pm, and $20 if I go after.
I had Olga's for lunch with H. They have a tasty ceasar salad as it turns out. And I watched a french movie called Flowers of Evil that had some murder and some incest...so all in all a good way to spend ones afternoon. I then worked the screening of some "family" movie called 13 going on 30 (which is mildly disturbing if you ask me). I think they advirtised the screening in trailerpark monthly, because we got almost 200 people I'd never seen before...and for some unknown reason, the guy who did the curtain talk did not mention memberships. Right--you have a chance to tell 200 movie fans about memberships, and you don't bother--good call you fucking moron!
The good news is, I don't have to pay to see Kill Bill2 or The Punisher (not that I would pay to see it, or even want to see it, but H will). The bad news is, Rana's Wedding is probably going to flop because we did not have the budget to do a mailer for it. Another stupid complaint about how our NY office runs its theatres. I'm thinking of writing them a long letter just telling them my thoughts on a few things.
Of course, I don't have much luck making positive change with those.
My long letters usually just piss people off.
