RED DRAGON!!! Oh yes...RED DRAGON!!!
I have been totally stoked to see that movie Red Dragon. And tonight, after my shift, we had a special screening for employees. I invited Uterdic, but since he is a cellphone losing bastard, he couldn't make it. No matter, I will take him to see One Hour Photo instead.
The movie? Why, it rocked! It had all the people I wanted to see, including Anthony Heald as Dr Chilton and Frankie Faison as Barney. Those of you who know your shit know that FF is the only actor to appear in all 4 Hannibal Lecter movies. (if you don't know what all 4 are, I'm not going to tell you).
Without giving anything away, it stuck to the book pretty well. Excellent cast, Hopkins was awesome! Ed Norton: great, Ralph (rafe) Fiennes was amazing as the killer you feel empathy for.
Like so many series things I enjoy, Red Dragon rewards you for paying attention and knowing your stuff. If you are the type who ranks Hannibal Lecter in the same catagory as Michael Myers or Jason Vorhees, you will not love this film. But if you are a hardcore Thomas Harris fan, or enjoy the screenwriting prowess of Ted Tally, or just plain know what's up in scares today, you will dig this movie.
Well what are you waiting for? Go see it!!!
