The Grossest Thing Ever!
It makes me mad that it is so much more expensive to eat well than it is to eat crapily. We could live on 70% lean ground chuck, boxed macaroni and cheese, microwave popcorn, eggs and toaster waffles for about one third of what we pay for groceries now. Only problem is, we'd be dead in a year.
I'm making a yummy soup tonight with chicken broth, mustard greens, and shiitake and enoki mushrooms, rice and red peppers. Mmmmm...I have to do super well on my diet this week, since Monday I am going back to the doc to have my BP checked. I'll also get to wieght myself there since me scale still has not arrived. I think the UPS guys are keeping it for themselves!
Dog Story: (the gross one)
So I was having some sushi for dinner. It was mostly tuna, and therefore delicious. And that dog who lives here kept putting her head on my knee so I'd give her some food. Again.
Which I wont'.
I remember before my roomate was telling us that his dog eats all manner of spicy food. So i think "Gee, if I gave her some wasabi, maybe she won't beg me for food anymore. That would SOOOOO teach her a lesson!". So I gave her some. Which she ate and appeared to enjoy. Feeling foiled, I went on about my business only to be called back into the living room by a horrified H, pointing in ajbect terror at the most digusting pile of dog puke ever.
Lesson: While cats may indeed be much smarter than dogs, Wednes is not.

i have lately subsisted on a diet of fat starch, caffeine , and sugar lately....
but i tend to view it as a protracted, passive/aggressive suicide.
i will remember not to feed any wasabi to my pets in the future.
